  • @Basile_01 I think that’s the second highest hit rate I’ve ever seen.


  • @Basile_01 66-68% win chance and battlecalculator stating victory with 4 units = at least 1 plane in casualty. Japan wins with 13 units. That’s the end of Russia = Germany back in the game = game over. I can’t even send units from Moscow to cope with the threat from Japan while at the same time coping with Germany.


  • @Makalakalane It was incredibly lucky. My own calculator gave me about 80% win rate and 7 units surviving.

    To be fair, the turn hit rate includes all the hits from the naval battle that gave me nothing.

    But this is a simple respite for the Japanese. The economic advantage is still very much in the Allies’ favor, with Europe and Japanese’s China at breaking point.


  • @Basile_01 what calculator is that? I used the in-game and put in what the report said you attacked with against 18 infantry and 2 AA Guns. Doesn’t matter about Japan, as long as they eat up Russias economy from the east, Germany will hold back and eventually win Moscow. I’m nowhere near getting London back, so Germany will be rich for forseeable future. I don’t think I will ever be any good at this game.


  • @Makalakalane : I don’t know if the game is lost. From an economical point of view, it seems the Allies are still ahead.

    Since I’m playing the European Axis, Germany + Italy are having a hard time fighting on multiple fronts. The eastern front is almost stabilized, I think, so that’s obviously not good, but Norway and Finland may remain contested for awhile. Africa is gone and will remain so as long as Italy is stuck defending. While not having England on my back ease some of the pressure, the trade-off is more pressure from Russia.

    Just like how you guys convinced us to keep playing in that first game, that’s about the only thing I can offer.

  • @Robert well, let’s see. You’re hitting on every AA Gun hit and the 2s seem to be on your side as well (couldn’t even catch a break and take out a single Destroyer with planes without casualties). I can’t push forward in the Paficis with the US fleet, especially not now and with y spending on the europe side, that fleet is probably history within a few turns. UK Pacific can’t really make any difference offence wise, and China are retricted to their borders. I’m pretty pessimistic

  • @Robert I take some of it back - UK Pacific are annoying to Japan, granted. But they never really threaten, unless Japan is completely beaten. Anyway, who knows, I don’t suspect you guys will make major mistakes, so I guess I can hope for the US to save the day.

  • @Robert true. I’m sorry for whining so much. I guess this is the round of bad luck… 2 Destoyers + 1 Fighter vs 1 Destroyer and 1 Sub (7 - 3 in power, 3 - 2 in numbers). Sub hit on its 1-defense and Destroyer hit as well, so I had to retreat. Fucking dice


  • @Makalakalane : No worries. This game often makes me rage. In some of IRL games, we often end up accusing each others of cheating (not seriously) by not throwing the dices properly. Some would even ask the other players to reroll certains dices because they didn’t roll when thrown in the box!
