Second play of Battle of The Bulge.
Not sure how I feel about this one. I finally think I understand 98% of the rules but it’s so situational on things that can apply.
Overall the game is fun with some cool mechanics like the order of casualties in battle. And the supply aspect adds a level of interest. It does appear to be very balanced if you manage recourses properly for the Germans.
But it’s so different with a poorly written manual it took me a few reads of the manual and watching a bunch of YouTube videos and 2 play throughs to get it down.
Overall fun but not worth the effort
5/10 for this game
I still play this edition perfect for getting new players into the game
I dont think it needs balancing, I can win with both and its always a close game right up to turn 9.
I usually play 2 player, so I like the allies
Using the airforce to block and lock down key areas is critical and can really make the German player scream.
However if you start to loose planes your end game just got much harder
I like the ideas of the trucks, the game does need some help moving troops
The general fix for the 2 movement for tourney rules to me is not good.
Could even limit the amounts of trucks, for countries like they do I. Battle of the bulge
I too am looking for a game, in the twin cities.
Any thing coming up ?
