Hi Guys
Sorry for not getting back here sooner. Things are a bit crazy for me right now. I’m living at my son’s and most of my stuff is in storage. I’m sleeping in his attic on a twin bed with boxes all around me (wife is on the couch). I guess right now we are waiting for my father-in-law to have another stroke or die then we will be moving in with my mother-in-law who sometimes doesn’t remember who we are and take care of her.
On the game front: We are publishing a complete game for release at the Origins convention. It will give you someplace to use all those oversized tanks. Then if we have any kind of success with the game we will be pumping out those French and Hungarian units.
Right now I am trying to find a cheap building to operate out of so that set shop.
Best Regards, Jack

Have a great Thanksgiving!
I’m sure you have the big screen TV set up at the end of the gaming table so you can watch football and take over the world at the same time.

Hi All
I uploaded all the new unit silhouettes for your battle boards on my facebook page.
They are in png format and should be in 1 to 1 scale. -
RE: Table Tactics New Product Release
I’ve maintained hopes of him doing his Central Powers set in French blue… that would be a big step forward in making a decent WWI kit possible. I guess that’s out of the question now? Do you not have the old molds anymore, TT?
I still have the old molds.
Way back I ran the old mold in the Xeno colors and quickly sold off 500 sets of the historic pieces. Then I was stuck with a bunch of modern units. Stratamax Games designed the modern Cromwell game and I sold about 72 copies. Most of the remaining pieces were ground up to run samples of the new stuff.
I did keep some to make a few more Cromwell games and it looks like I have interest in them. -

what’s in the NWO?
It was designed for the original A&A game. It is very easy to transition into the game and it plays fast. The set comes with modern pieces like Jet fighters, attack helicopters, hover craft, tanks and armored personnel carriers. I have the rules posted on my site tabletactics.com and you can see the pieces there. FairPlayGames.com has them on sale for under $12.00.

@C_Strabala:
So, there is no possibility that you would reprint Cromwell 2026 &/or remould any of the pieces?
I kept some stuff to put together a few Cromwell games. When my life settles down and I put some together I will stop here first to let you know.

@Table:
The only drawback is that Table Tactics will be operating out of a storage facility instead of my garage.

This is only connected because money make things. I just got an offer on the farm. This will put money in my pocket and allow me to get moving again. I have the Hungarian & French units on hold at the moment but this will get them back on track.
I’m also planning on attending Origins to introduce new pieces and our new game.
The only drawback is that Table Tactics will be operating out of a storage facility instead of my garage.

RE: Table Tactics New Product Release
Hey Jack,
Just curious. What gave you the idea to use guns to represent infantry units instead of actual soldiers?I was getting a lot of requests for pieces like Paratroopers or marines. From my view I figured having a soldiers standing with a different gun would be to hard to tell what he was. A paratrooper is only a paratrooper when he is floating down. After that he is just another soldiers. Kind of the same thing with marines after they land. So instead of making different types of soldiers I made different types of guns.
So you can class Thompson machine guns or FG-42’s as paratroopers or just provide them with different attack and defense numbers. -
RE: Table Tactics New Product Release
Ps: for those interested the Russian units are up on fairplaygames.com
I restocked my old products and took inventory of the new stuff.
They didn’t realize they were out of German’s and Italian’s. That may be because they are working on consignment at this time.

RE: Table Tactics New Product Release
a. You’ve got uniform sets of rifle-stand infantry in 5 categories:
i. rifle—14
ii. SMG—6
iii. AR—3
iv. MG—6
v. ATRL—3
[OK, so far so good, assuming I’m willing to give rifle-stand infantry a chance, I think I can come up with 5 types of infantry units…]b. But with the tanks… is it supposed to be two size levels or three?
c. Are you thinking a distinction between standard tank and TD? But not all powers have a TD, and the ones that do have them in differing sizes…?I can sure tell you are an author.
I started tooling 4 years back but then lost my job and put this project on hold. The whole new A&A with the super size board was not on the radar back then.
The 14 rifle would have replaced the standard infantry in the regular game. Then I figured players would add different types of infantry as the game went on.
I used prints that I believe are the same scale. I scaled my tanks down uniformly. Making the smallest tanks the size of the A&A tanks. As for combat values I figured people would use history to set there die roll values. A Sherman has more armor then a Hellcat. If the Sherman was a 3/2 die tank then a Hellcat may be a 3/1. What sided dice or attack and defense for each tank is up to you.
When I made my first products I added jeeps and made them 1/1 and cost 3 with a move of 2. My half-track rules were 2/2 and cost 3. I stuck with the die 6 system because I could fit all those new pieces into that system.

RE: Table Tactics New Product Release
Your idea about buying armies using a points system reminds me a bit of the old Citadel game “Space Marine”. Basically, each unit had a card that was worth X points. Each side would spend the points allowed by the scenario and then battle it out. It could work for WW2 as long as you’re not trying to refight historical battles. It would end up being something similar to A&A GC where the premise is historical but the order of battle is completely fictional. I like it as it would allow us to be a “battlefield commander” without having to rehash battles that have already been fought.
Very good. The game is a fictional mission.

I figure it would work like this: Saturday play a game then take out the trash. Play a game then cut the grass. Play a game then take the wife out to dinner. Play a game and then play with the wife.
I guess playing a game WITH the wife is out of the question? :-D
Not at my house! A&A, Battle Cry, Agricola… She’s down for it all. Don’t be TOO jealous guys…
You are saying you have found the perfect women?

RE: Table Tactics New Product Release
The folks at FairPlayGames are letting me down. I delivered the Russian’s to them 2 weeks ago and they have not put them up for sale.
All the more reason to create your own retail outlet for your stuff!
That is in the plan but right now we have a couple people in the family who are in really bad shape. Plus we are unloading the farm. All of this will be over by the end of the year. Then will have cash flow and time for our own projects.

@Table:
I am in Michigan. Where do you hail from?
I’m from Bay City, but live right now just outside Youngstown OH, so I’m back up fairly regularly.
You almost pass right by my place on your way to Bay City. I’m sure we can work something out. :-D

RE: Table Tactics New Product Release
Okay Jack, you’ve got my attention. So let me be the first to ask… Hints? Details to share?
The game will allocate each player so much to buy units. You decide what to buy.
The game will have no dice rolling or cards that determine the winner. This will be determined by your fire power, armor class and secret bid. This will put the outcome in the players hands not in random chance.I know you guys like dice but sometimes putting the outcome of the battle in your own hands would be a nice change. Also were trying to make the game around a 2 hour play time.

Sorry for not getting back here more often. I have been working on a new game design that I hope will provide a market for the new “to big stuff”. Then I could see about fixing my size problem. :-D

RE: Table Tactics New Product Release
My only complaint from what I’ve seen of the new TT stuff is more towards Fairplay; how much do these pieces weigh? 30 pieces somehow comes to 9.50 for S/H from a warehouse via the post office?! or $20 via UPS or whatnot?! It’s like paying twice for one set (doesn’t get that much better for buying a bunch either, unless I get $125 worth, which would be great, but dang…) I may actually drive up to Flint to get these and save the shipping… or better yet, Jack, are you in Michigan? Can I get some straight from you and give you the whole cut of money?

haha, you think that’s bad? I was hoping to order some of the other sets (with helicopters/jets) but I have to re-think it. $29.50 for shipping to Canada on a $12 order. :(
Email Tracy & Tiffany at fairplaygames and ask them if they can give you a better deal on the shipping. I know that the calculator for European orders is messed up. It may be the same problem for Canada.

When are the new Russian pieces going to be available at Fairplay Games?
