RE: DIY Flight Stands
@Intrepid the washer served two purposes, one for weight and the second a perfect circle to help replicate the U.S. Marking.
The dowels are inserted into a hole I drilled in the felt pad with a drill press. Then I used medium thick CA glue to affix the dowel upright ( vertical) and only have to hold in place for 30 seconds. -

DIY Flight Stands
Im sure many have made their own flight stands. I have read many suggestions on what to use and how to do it. So I gave it a try with what I had on hand and did’nt go out and buy anything exspressly for it. All I used was small felt furniture pads, 1/2” OSD X 1/8” ISD washer, 1/8” wooden dowel, 3 mm neodymium magnet, super glue. Then Paint. Blue, white and red.
