RE: HBG's Japanese Sets
Cool pics Jabo. Man, HBG has outdone themselves AGAIN! I thought the “H” on the base of the infantry units was cool but now the logo and ship name on the bottom of the ships? That is just way cool. Do the other ships have this as well (Fuso Battleship, Ryujo Light Carrier) ?

RE: HBG's Japanese Sets
Here is the Kaga carrier. HBG has put the ship class name on the bottom of the units :-D

Coach, have you found any colour variations in the A&A 1914 pieces?
I have a couple of Russian fighters in a very light brown, someone else posted about different colours in the Russian and German pieces.
I noticed that my Russian transports where just a shade off from the rest of the units. Its something you don’t notice right away but you can see a slight difference in my Russian units. Nothing that distracts from the game though.

RE: House rule for Cruisers: Global 1940
@Young:
One thing for sure, it will make the decision of removing casualies even more difficult.
I think this is the best part of your idea. Instead of always going for that first hit on the battleship now you have to weigh your options. I can see a player buying more destroyers to absorb the hits so your combo battleship/cruiser can last longer with the higher dice roll.
Good idea.

I know you guys are working on the new set but do you have any early teaser shots to show us? :-D

RE: HBG's Japanese Sets
@coachofmany:
We are running the U.S. Allies set to get more Olive drab pieces, (we are out of SP Art and trucks), we are also running more UK tan pieces and adding the Light green offered in the neutral color. We will also run it in the OOB Fench blue so that there is Airborne, SP Art, TD, light tanks, CVE, trucks, Transport plane, etc so that when we make the French set, we can make the standard pieces to replace the OOB ones. We will then come around again and pick up the correct pieces for SP Art, Transport, etc.
This is our short term fix.When can we expect the Light Green and French blue? I found money between my couch and can’t wait to buy some more of your products!!!

@coachofmany:
Yes, the Do-17 had a lot of QC issues so we do not have as many for sets.
Everybody who pre-ordered received 2 in each set as stated and we added a Tiger Tank.The change is ONLY on sets now being offered for sale.
We hope to have single for sell in 2 weeks…Do-17’s also.
Coach
I wish all companies treated their customers as you guys do!!! I can’t wait to send more money to you guys for the Japanese sets :)

RE: Tigerman's Barbarossa Game now at HBG
Tigerman is not quite through with the advanced setups. They will be released after a bit when setups are finalized and playtesting is done.
Thanks, Variable. I thought maybe my download didn’t go right. Can’t wait to see the advance set up.

RE: Tigerman's Barbarossa Game now at HBG
On page 10 of the rules states advance set up and on the set up chart that you down load it says basic. I was just wondering if there was another set up chart.

RE: Tigerman's Barbarossa Game now at HBG
Is there a setup for advance units? It wasn’t in my download and I was wondering were the set up for advance units are such as SP Guns and Tank Destroyers.

RE: HBG US Set in Optional Colors
So whats the final verdict??

RE: HBG US Set in Optional Colors
I would like to see British tan and Anzac grey just so I can play global until the proper British set comes out.

RE: Need Help to Finalize HBG Japan Set!
Here is my thought on this. First off I want to thank Coach, without him we wouldn’t be having this conversation. I know everybody will agree that what ever you do we will all be buying your sets anyway.
What it comes down to is historical accuracy and game play. What if Coach said he wasn’t going to make a German escort carrier? I think a black escort carrier in the Atlantic would look cool but would that be historical? When it comes to the issue of Japanese paratroops I think it would fill both categories. There were Japanese paratroopers and it could be useful when invading China so I think it would fill both need and accuracy.
Now here is my plug for a Japanese unit. Bicycles for Japan and motorcycles with sidecars for the Germans. I know its off subject and to small a sculpt but that would be nice to have.

RE: Next Sets from Historical Board Gaming
@FM7:
Isn’t the Tiger one of, if not THE, iconic German tank. Seems kind of incomplete of coach to offer two sets of Germans without one Tiger model. His minor axis sets seem in good supply which allows for this model to be more accessible to a greater number of people.
I think the Tiger is an important tank. Its seems to me that HGB is able to produce and keep in stock their pieces. Also, they sell them individually after some time so if you want to buy 20 Tigers then HGB is the place to go. If coach keeps that in his next set more people will be more incline to get them than buying another $40 set or so.
