RE: Using Pacific/Europe Pieces with original board.
What we do is the original setup with the option to buy the pacific/europe pieces later in the game. All the other rules we follow from the pacific/europe books. We do not use the Japanese first attack.

Using Pacific/Europe Pieces with original board.
A friend and I have been doing this and we find it very interesting. We also use some of the rules, except the Japanese first strike.

RE: AAP review
It is my favorite in the Axis and Allies series. It seams that Europe and the original becomes the race to Moscow. In Pacific you have more options on how to win the game.

New English House Rule For Pacific.
Did this for the first time and had a lot of fun. The person I play with and I find it very hard to beat Japan, even with the changes sugested on the Avalon Hill website. So we did a historical modification which gave us a very close game where the allies won.
Historically, the British were already at war with the Japanese by December of 41. So we only allowed the sneak attack advantage against the Americans.
Any one else ever try this? -
RE: Origins in Columbus Ohio
What’s BPA? I am new to the boardgaming scene. I just started playing Axis and Allies a year ago and I have jumped into the boardgaming hobby. I bought Axis and Allies: Europe, Pacific, Acquire, and I just got Settlers of Catan. I am a little disappointed to see Avalon HIll doesn’t appear to have a presence at the Origins Con, and that Axis & Allies is just being played 3 times.

RE: Invading India
Do you think that changing the starting income where India gets the islands north of australia or taking away the transport abilities of destroyers would help.

RE: Kamikaze
To clarify the use of black planes, all we do is at the begining of the game, we set out six black planes on Japan to represent the kamikazes. Then use the planes instead of the scoreboard to keep track of them. You only get six to use the whole game.
We have created our own map and house rules where you can buy your own kamikaze planes.
