Hi all,
I joined up just over 2 weeks ago. Been playing the board game version of Axis and allies with my older brother on and off for about 20 yrs. He has i think all the different versions of A&A, but we mostly play 1941, by the normal rules. We’ve tried with tech turned on and off, and also tried with national objectives and found it better with that turned off. And we’re toying with the idea of normal rules, but with a few house rules applied of our own, which we both have thrown around a few ideas to keep the game interesting :)
My brother also has a massive table with printed out maps, hes painted the units. On a secret note, i think hes more of a game nerd than me when it comes to board games. But im more of a computer game nerd :)
Then he told me about this site recently and TripleA.
I could see myself spending a bit of time on here playing A&A with him or even in the future with other players, so i signed up to support the site, but for some reason the badge isn’t showing up for me.
From Australia, im a game nerd, a space nerd, and bit of a sci fi nerd too :alien:
Anyway, theres a brief intro, happy gaming everyone :)

@andrewaagamer Yeah, definetly agree with you there. At least for myself, there is no satisfaction in being allowed to win. I want to earn it, so i learn something from it. There is no learning in giving a win, only in earning the win. Thanks again, i appreciate it :relaxed:

Dice were horrible for the americans, that could have gone a lot better, 2 fighters 2 bombers only got 1 hit.Ouch. Sorry for your loss…not :)
I give you points tho, it was a bold move, but damn, you cut my fleet down a bit.
Can Dangermouse save the world this time? -

@andrewaagamer Thanks. I never been able to beat my brother at this game, but i finally did last night. We just started another game, will be interesting now, coz he now knows i was taking my time in my turns, trying to out battle him lol. It paid off, but, we’ll see how the new game goes. Think i will have to try different strategies this time

@digger lol, yep. I play the game by myself, as im sure many others do as well. I do try to play the game as if i am playing against someone else, just gotta remember not to hold back or anything as you may want the other side to win or whatever :)

RE: WW2 v3 1941
Game wouldnt let me use a transport for Japan before. It moved one spot from Okinawa to Japan, i could load it, but couldnt move it.
Then i couldnt move my aircraft carrier and fighter after taking out your transport. Which, they also both moved only 1 space. The fighter i could move, but it wouldnt let move the carrier.
Both those moves were in the non combat phase. Tried messaging you, but seems your phone is broken :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:  -

All going your way, at the moment, next couple of turns will see which way its going, no allied fleets (which you sank) means its going to be really toughWell, Allies wouldn’t let me expand. That’s what happens when u declare war on me. 🤪
How many games U won & I lost? I must be learning your strategies… Or you’re letting me win 🤣🤣 -
RE: WW2 v3 1941
@Dangermouse650 I wasnt overly impressed by the super soldier in Yunnan. I had 3 units there, and they ALL missed him. So, its not just you that has bad luck with dice…One louzy infantry. They had ONE JOB!! :face_with_rolling_eyes: :rolling_on_the_floor_laughing:  :hankey:

@Dangermouse650 Mistakes were made on Germany’s first turn. And mistakes were made in Italy’s and Japans turns. Not looking good
