Hey guys. I can attach a file of the uncompleted map if you would like. However, I have been completing a one years masters program while getting my teaching certificate this last year. Because of this the Americas on the Europe side of the map are not completed nor are the sea zones. I am hoping to have time to restart and finish this project by December. With my masters ending in August and being a first year teacher this may be optimistic but most of the work is done so I think I can do it. Sorry for the late response, I have very little free time these days. But let me know if you want an incomplete one or an email when it is complete.

RE: BATTLE IN VANCOUVER! IT'S ON! Nov. 23-25. Who will survive?
Tried using your method of who I’d rather play coming in cold but god idk. That’s a close game for sure. Would love to see how it plays out

Can you guys post pictures of the board from that game? I want to see what was happening that made it so close

Ya I can’t say for sure what the qualifications were for victory. But generally I think it came down to who was in a better position to win assuming neither side made fatal errors. I know in the game I played in we had moderators decide because we were running out of time. They decided the axis won because they were making about 20-25 more IPCs a turn, and Japan and Germany were both very powerful with Japan about to go up another 10 IPCs for India falling. So we didn’t achieve the victory cities but the moderators determined that we were in the better position to win the game

@djensen
IPCs in the bank and IPCs being collected were taken into account. There was no counting of TUV but I believe they could estimate that as well -

Looking at the meetup it looks like you guys won’t be done until 2am so I should be good

It won’t effect games as I was always coming too late on Friday but now I know how late

RE: BATTLE IN VANCOUVER! IT'S ON! Nov. 23-25. Who will survive?
So with the ferry on Friday I wouldn’t be arriving until like 12-1am Saturday morning. Does that work or should I grab a place in Bellingham and come up closer to 9am?

Should have said something earlier but I do have a global game available. It won’t be pretty as the boxes are well worn from so many moves and I didn’t bring my single piece larger map. But it has all the components if we need it

@Patryn
That could work. Let me see what ferry times are available because right now it will be a later arrival for me, likely too late to play -

Sounds good. Just making sure when I show up it’s not a big surprise

Should I be concerned that I’m not on the roster?

Tacoma area. But I will gladly play with any team that will have me. I mean in reality I would come just to watch really good players play if that was the only option. I will gladly bring a sleeping bag

Or if it is late and better to arrive Saturday morning I have a place I can stay at in Bellingham

I will be there. I will be rolling in on Friday night if that is acceptable due to Thanksgiving travel plans. If sleeping arrangements are full I am happy to bring one of my backpacking sleeping mats to use.

Any idea what the start time will be on this? Will be in the San Juans until at least Friday night. But would prefer to catch an early ferry on Saturday morning. But if games start earlier than the ferry and drive could get me there Saturday I can make Friday night work.

Are you taking in people without a team? I would love to figure out a way that I could make this work but before I go jumping through hoops I want to ensure there would be a spot for me
