Unfortunately, my forum play is sporadic with all my kids as I prefer f2f -can actually ignore family and concentrate on rollin the bones.
Again, I would just like to see a game played that anyone can recall where this is effective unless you have personally experienced it, which would suffice. I would just like some better pointers than “whittling” down lol, been tryin to, I have found it isn’t as effective as I want it.
@Majik, Gargantua etc. I understand you occupy Germany by throwing assaults to whittle down the bomber fleet. Are there any examples of this in gameplay?
As I see it… pretty much by T5, Moscow is bottled up and under seige in best case scenario with little to no influence from US/ENG. Worst case scenario they vacate and Italy takes.
I believe you are correct, was just hoping to see a game with someone who has done it.
Without reading through all the walls of text… I do find the solution to Dark Skies is to call it’s bluff; and dogpile in.
Too often multiple allied armies/navies on the board are afraid of being obliterated by the bomber stack at the same time. Even though the bombers can only attack one force at a time; what they “could” do; and living in fear of it, is what hampers the allies.
SO… the only response is to accept that fate, especially with america, and dogpile in. Go to Gibrlatar, go to places where you give them the option of attacking - with just bombers whenever possible; give them choices. Attack Russia? or Attack USA/UK fleet? Once they start to spend the trump card, the whole house of cards usually falls apart.
It does suck because you will have some battles where you pay through the nose… but sometimes its the only way.
do you have any games posted where you played allies where this was effective?
Obviously, something came up. I owe you an explanation for your patience. We have 4 children(8,6,4,and2). Our youngest, 2, broke her leg about 3 weeks ago. Due to the suspicious nature of the break(regardless of fact that it occurred in a licensed child care facility and was dealt with that day at a specialist), the lovely state agency, DCFS, came down on my wife and I threatening to take our children, because I argued with a nurse on the phone regarding how to treat her leg. He demanded I go to emergency room, I said screw you - I will go to urgent care. We have been battling the state and my wife is due with our 5th child at the end of March.
Needless to say, I won’t be posting anything further till after the new baby is born. If you guys are available in April/May, I hope to begin playing then.

Nations can never attack together so the US transports would not be valid targets for the Japanese fighters. The combat will end when you would either kill all of the ANZAC units or the ANZAC player retreats.
ANZAC can retreat back to transports?
