RE: Revise AA50 based on 1942 2e rules?
I’m thinking of doing this as well. For the sake of a bit of consistency in the rules between games.
And, I like the new rules, but I can’t justify purchasing this game when I already have AA50. They seem like the same level of game.
Btween the new 41, and G40
Plus AA50 gives you the option for tech and N.O.'s, as well as China and Italy. So adopting some of the new rules into AA50 seems like the best of both worlds.

RE: Worth it?
I’ve got 41, for quick casual games, and introducing new players.
I’ve got global for epic weekend marathons :-D.
And AA50, has served as my main game.I just can’t think of a situation where I’d play this instead of AA50.
Maybe for consistency in rules? Anti-aircraft, etc.
I’m wondering then, what the main difference are, and if I could add them to AA50 as house rules? Pick up some colour coded AA guns and whatnot.
Think it’d disturb the balance too much? -
Worth it?
So I just picked up 41. Exactly the hook I’ve been looking for to get my more casual friends interested. :-D
Now I see this. 42 2nd edition.
I already have AA50. Is this worth picking up? How does it compare to AA50?

Quick question: multinational defense
Germany attacks a seazone containing UK and US ships.
US and germany are not at war. Does the UK defend on its own? Or does the attack constitute a declaration of war against the US?Does it make a difference if the US only has subs?

Tactical battleboard?
Hey everyone! More of a lurker here. I think I post about once a year on average. lol
I read in FMG’s review of singapore 42, that it incorporates a “tactical battle system”.
Anyone have any experience with this? It sounds intriguing and I was wondering if something similar could be used in A&A.
Something that wouldn’t take too much longer than dice rolling large battles.I love the tactical games, and salivate at the thought of adding that aspect to the larger strategic games.
Though you can’t really incorporate it on the map, or in the movement mechanics without breaking the game. So, the battleboard? I suppose it would be a mini-game within a game.
I realize it will make the game significantly longer. But hopefully, something reasonable can be managed. And if it adds a layer of fun to the game, who cares?Thoughts?
FMG; care to elaborate on the singapore 42 system?Luke

RE: Re: Field Marshal Games Pieces Project Discussion thread
If it hasn’t already been suggested; chinese infantry and artillery?
will you have Anzac and french units as well?I would like to have Chinese… depends on cost for a small mould.
As for second point… Yes and Yes.
Excellent!
and judging by the previews, you can count on one more pre-order. and probably some dice too.
