No harm at all. I was just mentioning that they were the same ones. It’s easy to forget that the green pieces in the game aren’t actually the Americans, but rather the Allies who have retreated back to North America after losing WW2. I didn’t realize until you had posted your link that the Meteor was actually a British fighter.
Pieces to purchase / 3D printing ?
-
I’ve played A&A Global 1940 several times with my group and would be interested in investing some cash into this game, but when looking at it, it looks hard to get enough pieces of each type and nation, plus the markers which look insufficient in their box. It 's impossible to get all what we need out from their site, it seems.
So…
Do you have some tricks how to do it? Is there another supplier where to purchase the missing pieces from? If not, what about 3D printing everything so that I don’t need to use/paint the units from my A&A 1940 box? Does anybody know a post/guide how to deal with it?
Thanks for the help

Have you checked out Historical Board Gaming? They carry tons of markers, tokens, additional pieces and sculpts for Axis and Allies and Global War. I think they will be right up your alley for what you are looking for.

I did a video series on building the game. For the most part I state where you can get the pieces that you need.

Hi General,
Yes I’ve watched them, and I’m very grateful for that. I’ve seen how you’ve done it, which required several A&A boxes (I have only the 2 A&A 1940 boxes), paint the pieces (which I’d like to avoid if possible), and spend quite a lot of money (looks like several hundreds of $). Maybe a 3D-printing of the missing pieces would be a solution with already-coloured base materials? Anyway, I find this game very appealing although a bit discouraged because of the pieces availability/price.
Cheers,

You don’t need to paint anything.
But you need a couple of $100’s of extra pieces besides your A&AG40 pieces for this game.
