Extra pieces needed to make this realistically playable

Well I bought some pieces from HBG. Bought more than I needed but thats mostly because I love the ottoman color of troops haha.

I also wonder what the general consensus was on the unrestricted submarine warfare rule as written. Did they really not notice during playtesting that this rule was entirely uselless in this form?

Well i can imagine the playtesters saying “tts in europe too small we need marshaling cards”
And WOC saying “ok…wait that cost more money, F*** that”
WOC also says “Play testing over, we will fix any problems in the 2nd editions while taking every ones money again”

Would be neat to see the Chinese communists represented, they should have special guerrilla abilities (may be placed in an occupied territory, attacks on a 3 for the first round). They should also get an IPC bonus (maybe 3-4) if nearby Russia maintains nearby territories. Goes without saying they can’t occupy the same territories as Nationalist units.

Canada is definitely a no-brainer, I would let them start with what’s on the board and just add a destroyer at SZ1, and they get a 5 IPC bonus if they control all their original territories plus Newfoundland/Labrador.
