Thanks for the replies.  The chips in question have ‘fine’ ridges, like the normal chips, not the ‘coarse’ ridges as found in 1914 and 1942.2.  I was originally reluctant to put them in the mix with my other chips that I know fit together, but I suppose if I’m not building skyscraper stacks, it’ll be fine.  :wink:

Can you attach a saved game file here?  Save it just before combat, and make sure you describe the behaviour in detail (ie. which battle is screwing up, which round, what the rolls were, what you think they should have been, etc.)

ONLY attacking subs have first strike capabilities, although I’m not sure whether it lasts beyond the first round. I’ve always played that first strike is always on.

i recently purchased a laptop with win 95/166 pent/64 mb ram just to play a&a on the web and not tie up the desktop. anyhow i installed game and went to launch and get the message that “cannot get lock on video”. I have a cirrus logic chip with the newset driver/ direct draw enabled, with direct x version 6. i am open for suggestions…… :(
