Sea Zone markers for switching between Pacific and Europe sides

Ah, the age old question!

The answer is: Yes, the Axis have a clear advantage G40 OOB. No question. The reasons are clear and mostly stated above: Axis planes, victory conditions, weak allied economy etc…

Higher bids and balanced mod have done some good changing this, esp the BM.

However, how about this: forget the bid and BM and just change the turn order: Rus, Ger, Jap, UK, Anz, Fr, Italy, China, USA.

USA going last would totally F’ up the Axis, render almost all sea blockers meaningless, not to mention make the Berlin end run much more possible.

Yes, he is not forced to fight your new reinforcements. He can opt but doesn’t have to. I think this is the only situation where units can (must) move during the CM without triggering a combat.

Ofc, those units cannot move again during the NCM…

Mission 1:  Sink Jap Fleet
Mission 2: SBR and Convoy them to the stone age
Mission 3: Hope you get enough into Europe to change the Axis fortune there.

Darn it - someone has correctly pointed out that the bombers in central US could hit z109 but they could not hit z110!

So I recalculated a couple of these and adding 1 carrier with 2 fighters landed on it gets the odds of an Allies win down from 100% to 70.2%; adding 2 carriers with 3 fig and 1 tac gets it down to 7.1%.  So it seems that 2 carriers would probably do the job most of the time, but that’s still an awful lot for Germany to spend.

In the current Alpha +3 scenario I think the best way for the Axis to still go Sealion is if Japan hits SFE and Hawaii hard. You need to divert at least some of the American and Soviet attention towards yourself or the Euro-Axis is doomed. Now this will make things hard for Japan, intentionally putting more pressure on themselves but with UK London not producing more units it won’t be long before we see Italian units moving towards Italy to help Japan along with a Germany collecting tons from UK and an Italy gobbling up many of the UK’s African territories. In the event of Sealion as Italy I always push all the way to South Africa since it cannot be reinforced and taking while UK is still out of commission denies it to UK if/when they are liberated.

You need the PDF even if you have the game. Specially if you want that your friends learn the new rules at home instead of wasting more than half an hour explaining the rules. Or if you want PBEM without having to carry the physical rulebook at hand everywhere
