Land planes on carrier in contested sea zone?

What if there is a place to land the figs, but this territory is also to be attacked in the same round.
Will the figs then be able to land there and take part of the defense - or will they be lost (with only taking place in the naval battle) if the territory is lost?

The fighters only land after all combats are resolved, meaning that if the territory has been taken it is not longer a valid landing spot

Indeed SZ 3 is adjacent. And they could have made a little effort to make this clearer on the board…. At least IL did on his custom maps…

Hobbes is correct.  The destroyer must be in the battle, not just in the sea zone.

I’d like big fat silverish Zepplins on the game and if there was a naval ship big enough to carry dirigibles it sure would have space for puny bombers, but alas no, all we have is aircraft, not airship carriers :wink:

That CAP rule in good old Pacific always remained a mystery to me. As far as I remember you can only use airplanes that didn’t take part in any combat. Now who would let any airplane sitting around doing nothing in combat ?  Japan not using airplanes in her attacks ?  That’s why I never used CAP, not once.

Loading onto and/or unloading from transports is definitely considered to be movement for land units, as they are moving from one space to another.

Yeah, true, what I meant was that the sea zones the transport moves through do not count as spaces for the land units, only the territories where they’re being loaded and offloaded do.
