  • I decided not to annex Tijuana…. right after I completed my entire turn and forgot to attack it.  (doh)

    Just the same, I only get two IPCs from Mexico and to replace the Artilery, would cost four.  Doing what I did forces you to “hang” either the dd or the sub attacking my transport which is just fine.

    You know, even with your massive sub convoys, and not having ANY of the goodie islands, I am still cranking pretty good money.  Asia looks mighty yellow.  But that all ends now I think when the UK… expands.  I did a strategic retreat in anticipation of the UK-Chinese expansion.

  • The Germans now have a difficult choice of trying to further protect that small Navy by investing in more ships, or letting it get crushed by the combined US/UK forces.  Japan has effectively lost control of Asia and will never be able to regain any significant power even when the US is focusing 100% on Europe.  Meanwhile, Russia is in amazing shape even without additional UK fighter support.

    I’ve done the math.  I can either attack Russia on Germany 8 or (probably) never.  I don’t think I’ll ever be able to produce enough resources to overwhelm it.  On Ger-8 I believe that with all the British fighters I have less than a 5% chance of defeating Russia.  I just don’t have enough pieces.  So I think at this point the only way I can win is to get other victory cities.  I may have to go totally “defensive” until I can figure out my next move.  I don’t know what that is yet.

  • Just to speed things up, if the British Spitfires aren’t in Moscow, I probably will attack it Ger-8 regardless of my very slim chances of victory.  If they are there, then I’ll have to rely on Italy to win by going for Volograd or the Caucuses.  At this point all the Germans can do is “hang on”

    I have no idea what Japan will do.  I have a lot of pieces but too much territory to recapture.  I just can’t put either Russia or China out of it.
