• I don’t know if my name needs explanation as well…

Axel is a name like any other in Belgium (I don’t know if it’s used in other countries as well as Pierre, Luke, Marie, Leo,…)
I choose this as my firstname because it links with two letters of “Axis”

my surname Allie isn’t difficult anymore if you know the first one :-)

so, you get my favorite game for the moment…
did you guys figure this one out yet?  8-)

Guerrilla Guy came from my infactuation for Guerrilla Operations and Military Tactics, and in Airsoft I am a AK-47 operator (soon to be AK-74 RPK Support Gunner)… And GG seems to be easy for people to call me anyway…

  • Mine is way more complacated.  In short I am a Zelda fan thus triforce, however I am also a christan and the triforce happens to be a realy good picture of the Trinity.  If you have questions on the details message me.

  • @ncscswitch:

Well, mine is more descriptive… but of who I was about 5 years ago rather than now.

5 years ago I lived a couple of miles from the South Carolina border in NC.  Also, for a number of years I was into BDSM (met my wife that way TYVM) and in the lifestyle I was a “switch” meaning I would engage in BDSM & D/s activities as both a Dominant and as a submissive (sometimes it is nice to be flogged, other times nice to do the flogging).

    So…

Lord knows there have been times when I would have liked to have whipped the crap out of you.  J/K

  • Agent Orange was a defoliating agent used in Vietnam to clear out jungles.  It was also the last of a series of monikers that I used in Halo; the only name that really stuck.  Other unsuccessful names were Whargoul, Dr. Octagon, and Mr. Pink (bonus points to anyone who knows what those are references to.)

Anyway, AgentOrange has since become my tag of choice for just about everything.

  • Avin is my first name. I used to used various usernames for online gaming for several years growing up, but finally got tired of it while in college as I was sick of having an online identity that felt seperate from my identity in real life, so I decided to go by my real name to help myself not segment out my life so much. Fortunately my real name is unique enough that I don’t have to add a bunch of numbers to it to distinguish myself, so that’s what I’ve used for the past few years now.

As for the meaning of Avin itself, I have no idea. I was born in Sri Lanka, but Avin isn’t really a Sinhala name; my parents aren’t even always clear where they got the name from or if they made it up.

  • well Mr. Pink was Steve Buscemi from Reservoir Dogs. dont know about the others. ive gone as AIDS in Halo for awhile now, and its really caught on. all my friends at other schools use the name at their school, and other people at my school play as it when im not. everyone gets a good laugh from it for the first few minutes (HAHA, Mr. Pink was killed by AIDS), then again at random points anytime they play me.

  • I’m a baseball fan and Greg Maddux when he was with the Atlanta Braves was known as the Maddog. Now he’s an old fart like me, but the name stuck.

  • Hhhhmmm… with your drinking, I would think it was Maddog 20/20  :-D

It is possibly one of 2 meanings… Derived from Evan (meaning Warrior) or the Hebrew Avinoam (Meaning Blessed Father)

  • There is actually a third possibility. It could be derived from the latin word avinious (meaning turdball). Hey, it’s a possibility!

funny it doesn’t even come up on Google… sorry my friend that was really bad latin joking… Try  Swahili next time… you should find something more interesting :-D

  • and M36 is a type of tank destroyer.

  • “Arrr wench, munch on me mutton!”

    “Eh lassie, walk me plank.”

'I’m lookin to bury me treasure in your blarney deep!!!"

My old Army nickname was “Raunchy” and apply that to the ole pirate pick up lines, and the traditional response would be, “Man you’re one raunchy pirate!”

Depending on the response, I could take anything to “another level”.

Pirates rock!  Too bad I’ll never make it past powder monkey…

I always thought “shiver me timber” was good one.

Well, if my parents made it up then it can’t possibly have any derived meaning…

  • I always thought “shiver me timber” was good one.

It went like this, “Shiver me timber with ye pearly whites ya sultry wench!”

  • Well mine is quite ordinary, its just a name so it doesn’t mean much.

But “Daniel” means something in Hebrew like “God is my Judge” I think,
“Malus” is more fun, i haven’t meet it many places but I’ve encountered some meanings,
first of its some kind of tree, to my best knowledge.
Malus is also an item in Diablo 2 I think its a great hammer or something i can’t really remember.
The most wicked part is the Latin translation were it means something like sickness or rotten
    How punk is that??

  • Being a Warhammer 40.000 lunativ, it should come as no surprise that I use the name of the Imperium’s most venerated soldier, Commissar Sebastian Yarrick as my WWW handle since the beginning of my web life.

  • im guessing you play the gaurd?
