Combat
-
Heres a question for everyone on these forums, who here has combat experience? and if you can, tell us the specifics (where, when, who, what capacity, etc.)
-
Change the title of the thread, it’s not “catchy” enough.
-
I been in a couple mean pellet gun wars ;) no kills reported. my cousin got shot in the ear once though, lol (not from the side)
-
haha ctm, I meant like actual combat, but I think you knew that

Does having a scud missile pass over your house during the Persian Gulf War count?
-
How about being in a bunker while getting missiles lobbed at you? (The Patriot batteries were rather effective, not to mention the Iraqi missiles were not that great.)
P.S. Yeah, I know I’m a REMF.

All hail Crazy Ivan, our combet vet! :D
-
Damn, GI! I was just startin’ to like you.
I use REMF_BUFF as a nick on some other fora.US Army Assignment: 'nam Feb. 1972…
Shipped out: Japan, Mar. 1973(at least that’s what the paperwork says.)If I tell you anything else I have to kill myself.

Ohh… mysterious… you know what happens when you try to hide a secret, doncha? ;)

Interrogation!
(a scene from the movie Ronin)
Vincent: How did they finally get to you?
Sam: They gave me a grasshopper.
Spence: What’s that?
Sam: Lessee, two parts gin, one part brandy, one part Creme de Menthe… -
See much action in Vietnam?
-
:o No tickling! No, NOOOOO!
Sorry, I still drink with a coupla buddies(Man, I haven’t used that word in about 20 years.) One made 3 chevrons after the war was over. The other came home early due to bamboo splinters in his foot and losing a knee(two different ‘incidents’ the same day.)
I think I suggested it before… read ‘Riverine.’ It’s ‘Delta’ Navy but the gory parts are right on.

@El:

I use REMF_BUFF as a nick on some other fora.I would’ve figured you’d have guessed by now…I think I left some clues in other fora…besides, you would have thought the grunts get this much time on the net? Stars and Stripes’ (military paper, for those who don’t know) letters section almost always has A. a letter from someone in Iraq who complains about their lack of amenities or B. a letter from someone in Iraq who’s telling them to shut up and quit whining.
BTW, sorry to disillusion you.
