Hi Tigerman.
I’m from Sicily and about Sicily geography (and map) I can tell you this: Messina is an area with very high mountains, now it’s still difficult to go there by car or with some heavier mean… Also, there is not enough space for building any airport. During WW2 the principal airbases in Sicily were in the south, near Catania and Ragusa, that are plain areas. In the present, in the same area we have the NATO airbase of Sigonella, close to Catania (20 kilometers or less).This is only for history and realism, the balance of your game is another thing, so if you decided this kind of map you’ll have your reason.

OK guys, I’ve posted latest rules and setup charts at the beginning of this thread. I urge everyone who wants to play this game to get the map from HBG. I got my map just last week and its awesome. I’ll post pictures in a few days.

Found a mistake on the setup charts. I reposted with corrections at the beginning of this thread. If you guys have any questions or feedback please let me know. I am also toying with an optinal rule for combat initiative. After turn one each side rolls for who moves first. what do you guys think?

I think the game is great, but it is my baby! Favors the allies more but I think with the latest revisions the axis player isn’t totally doomed!
