The Battle of Greece
-
Hey guys,
I am working on an Axis and Allies travel variant based of the battle of Greece, is there any major historical considerations anyone thinks I have to take into account.
Thanks For You For Your Help :-D

The Metaxas Line in Eastern Greece, from what i have read, was a very ‘hard nut’ to crack.
-
Yes I read about that still trying to incorporate it.
-
The role of German paratroopers is important.
Both in operation and the Corinth canal and of course Crete.
A battle for Greece game MUST also include the battle of Crete IMO
-
Yeah I am working on revising the normal paratrooper rules and Crete is going to be included :-)
-
Any progress on this project? Very interested.

Still hammering out the setup, play testing is taking a very long time but it is very close to getting done for now though I have a rough draft of the winter war map :-)

Italian infantry should only attack at a ‘0’. Italian tanks can only move two spaces if they’re moving backwards. All Italian boats should have glass bottoms so the rest of the fleet can be seen in all its glory.

haha

Any options to bring Turkey into the war, perhaps via a neutrality violation (a player violates Turkish neutrality for a quick gain, hoping this gain ofsets the Turkish retaliations)?
How about guerrilla activity in the Balkans playing a part?
-
Those are some good ideas but i thought this was The Battle for Greece? Shouldn’t we keep this just to that battle?

Greece…Crete and dodacanese Island.
With that, players may used, planes, warships and paratroopers.
