Thank you! I just wanted to let you know of my progress. I certainly tried to do all of that in earlier games, but for one reason or another, it didn’t work well enough to net an Axis win.
Two different Styles???
-
OK, can anyone explain this? Are these games made by the same people?
Europe 1940 Air Power Pacific 1940 Air Power
Germany 9 planes Japan 28 planes
Italy 2 planes ANZAC 4 planes
U.K. 6 planes U.K. 5 planes
U.S. 4 planes U.S. 10 planes
France 1 plane China 1 plane
Russia 3 planesTotal Europe: 25 Total Pacific: 48
-
The only thing out of wack are the 28 Jap planes, but if you play AAP40, you see why they need them to be competitive. The aircraft in Europe for UK and especially for Germany should be significantly greater. Japan can get their aircraft into Europe and effect that theatre.

and the allied palnes up and the axis planes up….axis =39
…allied=30
not much of a diffrence when usa can make how many turn 1? -
I agree, Most people don’t realize that Japan had a very sizable force in 1940 because they had been at war with China for a while now. Also if you remember they did strike and crush much of the Pacific in the early part of the war using their air force and carrier fleet. Again if you look at the IPC distribution (Axis-66, Allies-175!!!), you can see that with a 3:1 advantage in economy that the Axis need to expand fast and kill fast if they want to make a game of it.

How come the UK has more planes in the Pacific than in Europe.
-
Pacific=naval and air campaigns (for the most part)
Europe=ground-based campaigns (for the most part)
-
I think the UK has 6 planes in europe, 1 in egypt, 1 on their carrier and 4 in england. But i do find it strange that there is not a single bomber in England.

These aren’t the global setups.
Chill.

These aren’t the global setups.
Chill.I think the main concern is that the Global set-ups wont be much different as per LH, I think someone said somewhere
-
Ah, I see…

According to djensen the only global differences is……
1 ANZAC in egypt
Also there is 6 Soviet infantry in amur burytania and sakha. (pacific 1940 territories) -
UK has 6 planes Europe. 1 on the Ark Royalish boat, 1 in Egypt and 4 in the UK.
