• … there is a German destroyer together with British transport ships together in one sea zone at the beginning of the British turn ??? (Compare the example on the last page of the rules, page 28.)

The only idea I have is, that the destroyer moved to that zone during non-combat movement. This would mean that (through the Germans eyes) a sea zone with only (British) transport sea units on it, is not enemy-occupied, but only occupied. (because it is said on page 18: naval units may move into any friendly, unoccupied or occupied sea zone within range during non-combat movement.) (So a sea zone is only called enemy-occupied, when the enemy has sea units there that have an attacking power.)

    Is this explanation right ???

    Please help me.

    Thanks.

The Sea Zone in question is adjacent to Germany. Therefore the German apparently bought a Destroyer and placed it into that Zone during placement.

  • Thanks,

your reply seems logical to me.

But were is the difference between friendly sea zones and occupied sea zone I can go to during non-combat movement? When the zone is occupied by allied ships, it is per definition friendly.

The only idea I have (of an occupied sea zone I’m allowed to go to during non-combat movement), is a convoy center that belongs to the enemy with no enemy ships on it.

    Right???

  • You can place built units in a seazone with emeny ships.

  • I know that. But that is step 5 of a turn (“place new units”).

The difference between occupied and enemy-controlled sea units in the rules is made in step 4, “non-combat movement”.

    So I am still confused.

  • an enemy occupied zone is one with enemy units in it. An enemy controled zone can only exist in a convoy centre, it is considered controled by them when there are no units there (other wise it would be occupied).

  • Holy settle down
