RE: TripleA 1.8.0.7 Stable Has Been Released
can someone please confirm if this problem happens in 1.8.0.5 as well, or is it new to 1.8.0.7?
and also, can someone please confirm if this problem happens in a FRESH 1.8.0.7 game (ie: start the game from scratch using 1807)?

RE: TripleA 1.8.0.7 Stable Has Been Released
@Private:
Have managed to uninstall Arcade Twist and the links seem to have gone. Do I need to keep FileOpenerPro?
Surely I am not the only one to have these unintended downloads accompanying 1807?
Sounds like you did not actually download triplea, but instead clicked some stupid advertisement which was trying to pretend to be your download.
Here is the link you need to click, and please read what is on the screen so you do not randomly click some vicious advert: https://sourceforge.net/projects/triplea/files/TripleA/1_8_0_7/
I also humbly suggest installing some ad-blocking plugin, after switching to using Chrome or Firefox. You should also uninstall whatever weird crap you just downloaded, and have your computer checked for viruses and adware.

RE: TripleA 1.8.0.7 Stable Has Been Released
Noone else seems to be having any trouble, and the online lobby is full of mac users, windows users, and linux users, all on 1807, so I am going to call this resolved.

I think we fixed it this time. -

RE: TripleA 1.8.0.7 Stable Has Been Released
The move to git has caused some issues to creep up for some of our releases.
We will be re-building them and re-releasing 1807 shortly.
thanks for your patience!- VEQRYN

TripleA source code is now on GitHub
Have a look, fork it and contribute:

RE: The site
I don’t have a fix on the forum side. Hopefully a fix on the TripleA side will work.
Why is it not possible to fix the forum side?
The bug isn’t really triplea related, since you can easily reproduce the bug using just 2 browsers….

RE: TripleA 1.8.0.5 Stable has been released
i will think about it some more, but honestly it is a huge amount of work, and i won’t have time for it until 2016

RE: TripleA 1.8.0.5 Stable has been released
1. github does not support everything we need (like a website, bug and ticket tracker, etc). i’ve told redrum though that i am not opposed to using git on sourceforge, but i doubt anything will change soon on this front.
2. redrum and bernat are figuring out how to do the gradle builds already, and it is maybe half way donei don’t think the project needs to be refactored completely just to fix what appears to be a small library/build issue

RE: TripleA 1.8.0.5 Stable has been released
When I start the Mac TripleA.app file I receive the following message:
“To open TripleA.app” you need to install the legacy Java SE 6 runtime."
I’m currently using Java 7 on my system. IntelliJ, Android Studio, etc. are able to use it just fine.
So basically, TripleA used the “Apple Java” that came with all mac’s until quite recently (and topped out at Java 6). Now that people are using “Oracle Java” (Java 7 and 8), this is messing things up a bit.
Unfortunately, I do not have a Mac, so I can’t really fix this. The issue is complicated a little bit (possibly) because we use “Apple Java Extensions” (which as of right now is an included jar), which might or might not be included with Java 7 or 8 for macs.
I put out a call to hopefully get this resolved:

RE: TripleA Mods
Also if you move both artillery and mech one space and stop it won’t let the artillery move again. It has to be done in one move. Ocassionally there will be a legal move it won’t let you perform (usually to do with a alternate route instead of a blitz). Undo all your moves and edit accordingly. It won’t let you edit in the middle of a move.
For “Alternate Routes” you need to hold down CTRL while you click the path you want to take.
No need to use edit mode.

RE: TripleA: Now with correct colors!
@Procas:
Not sure if this is the correct place, but it has to do with G40, and I figured the most people would see it here. If it should go somewhere else, feel free to move the thread. :-D
Essentially, the yellow Japanese, light blue ANZAC, and especially the purple Chinese have annoyed me to no end, so I took it upon myself to fix it. As a result, I have created a new skin for the Europe/Pacific/Global 1940 games on tripleA. Simply switch skins under the view tab and now you have the proper colors, orange Japanese, grey ANZAC, and green Chinese! I have also switched the units of the powers to reflect their new colors. Finally, the dutch have been changed to a yellowish color, as their previous orange color would be hard to distinguish from that of the Japanese.
Below you will find a photo, so that you can see what it looks like with the changes. I will try to find somewhere that I can upload the file, as it is too large to attach to this post. Please post if you are interested.
Thanks for reading and I hope that others will be able to improve their games with my changes.Upload it somewhere then post about it here:
http://triplea.sourceforge.net/mywiki/Forumspecifically, you can request this skin be added to the triplea download list, if you post here: http://tripleadev.1671093.n2.nabble.com/Post-here-to-request-having-your-map-on-the-Map-Repository-uploaded-or-updated-tp7058428.html

RE: Triple A G40 Carrier Question
Please create a bug report, and include a savegame showing the error.
https://sourceforge.net/p/triplea/_list/tickets(also make sure your triplea and your map are both the most recent versions before you do this)

RE: TripleA 1.8.0.5 Stable has been released
You can set any players you don’t want to play as “does nothing ai”
You can save points in history by right clicking them. However, you need to be at the very start of a turn, before any moves or anything are done, before you do this. And the point you save needs to be the start of a turn as well. Otherwise you can get weird bugs.
-
RE: World at War
so, googling your error shows basically only ways you could be getting this error:
1. Your firewall or AntiVirus is blocking TripleA and/or Java and/or port 80
2. Your Java is trying to use IPv6 instead of IPv4, and it shouldn’t be, or something.
I’ve never heard of or encountered this error before, so here is my suggestion:
Uninstall Java
Make sure all of them are uninstalled (you might have more than 1 java installed)Uninstall and remove ALL copies of TripleA (you might have more than 1 triplea installed)
Download the latest version of java, from http://www.java.com
Download the latest version of TripleA, from: http://sourceforge.net/projects/triplea/files/TripleA/1_8_0_5_extra_maps/triplea_1_8_0_5_windows_installer.exe
restart your computer after all that, just cus
good luck
