Hey guys,
my buddies and I picked up axis and allies spring 1942 this past fall and have really enjoyed playing it! for all of us its our first time playing any axis and allies game.
we did come across one issue we couldnt find a answer to.
American player had a destoyer, a cruiser and 2 transports in sea zone 12. German player had a sub in sea zone 13.
The American player moved his destoyer into sea zone 13 to attack the sub, thus making sea zone 13 a hostile zone, and at the same time, in the same turn, moved his cruiser and two transports to zone 14.
The German player argued that it was an illeage move because by making sea zone 13 hostile by attacking the sub the american cruiser and two transports would be stuck in zone 13 not being able to pass a hostile zone. His thinking was everything happens at the same time in the turn. so the cruiser and transports would still be in zone 13 when it became hostile.
The American player said it was a legal move because his transports and cruiser would have passed zone 13 before his destroyer moved into it to make it a hostile zone.
so anyone know who is right? Thanks!
