CWO Marc - You are correct, I was planning on buying the sculpts aand NOT using my bf’s because I didn’t want to ruin a $200 game in case he hated it.
Since then I’ve realized you are right - it would be ridiculous in cost and there is no easy way to get all the pieces other than buying the game.
Cyanight- I have experience painting and making miniatures and plenty of supplies so I’m not worried about the effort that goes into it. It’s just buying the sculpts that seems to be the issue :(

I’ve been on HBG but I have no way of knowing exactly what pieces/how many I need. I’m at an utter loss on that front.

Objective: Custom paint miniatures for my bf’s favorite game -A&A 1940 Europe/Pacific
Problem: I know nothing about said game and am looking for …
1. A list of what pieces I will need
2. Where I can buy them? (preferably together as a set)

For example if I could just order the 1941 bc its cheap and use those pieces, that’d be awesome, but I’m under the impression they don’t all have the same pieces.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am not an A&A player, just a miniature painter.
