Game aids - setup for continuation
I’ve searched a few sites and apologies in advance if i’ve missed this…but i was looking for a set up sheet to continue a global game at a later date. not sure if one exists but we normally play over multiple days and pack up the board (mainly due to lack of room). Just wondering if there was something already created where we can track what pieces where when we go and set up later to continue the game.
thanks.

RE: Quick question: multinational defense
Any attack from Germany on the US will bring Germany and the US into war ( or US on Germany to reverse this situation ).
If the US only has subs, the US player has a choice to submerge ( this would prevent the US being in the war at this early stage of the game ), only if there is no attacking destroyers because they can go stelth with Battleships/Cruisers/Aircraft Carriers. An enemy destroyer in a SZ stops subs being stelth and have to attack/defend.
Hope that helps Luke.
Anyone else can correct me if I have any info incorrect.

Aircraft Carriers strong attacking move
I have looked, but can’t find this attacking question on the forum…or book.
You have a USA Aircraft Carrier with two USA fighters on board. You move the AC to an attacking SZ.
The question I am asking:
Do the fighters and AC both take place in the battle to give you a more stronger attack?
I think yes, but I have a hunch this move can take place BUT will only make your fighters as cargo. If my hunch is correct, this stops fighters staying on board for this advantage attack.
They can take off from the AC and land in the SZ where the AC is going to goto move in non combat move.
When defending in a sz in the same situation with friendly or own fighters, i know you can use the fighters as defence in reverse situation.
Thanks, in a debate with players…~!~ Sala

RE: Pg 26 IC rule AA50
Okay,
That makes sence and what we had been playing in the past, the rules in print makes it seem a more confusing than it is…
Thanks…!

Pg 26 IC rule AA50
Hi…
We are re-gathering for a game of AA50 and I was refreshing the rules b4 our group plays, and came upon this question to ask in the rules.
On PG 26 for IC, at the bottom of the IC section the paragraph says:
*You cannot place your new units at an IC owned by friendly power ( understand ),
unless that powers capital is in enemy hands. Even if you liberate a territory with an IC in it, you cannot use the complex; the original controller can use it on his/her next turn*
I read it if unless that power capital is in enemy hands then if the German player captures Moscow, it gets the use of the IC on next turn ( if still owns it and not re taken by Allies ), also Allies can place new units in Moscow, because it’s now in enemy hands.
Has this come up in the fourm before…?
Thanks, sala

RE: AAG40 FAQ
Krieghund,
Question…thought it would be more respectfiul to ask you here rather than putting a post:
I posted a Bombardment question on the form. Remembering when waiting for the Global game, of whats to come and surprises etc, I thought I read there was going to be Blockhouses in Europe, like in the D-Day game. Was this thought about deciding the next game of AAE40/Global…?
I think that having blockhouses would be a great concept in the games to have, and be a real trick to avoid enemy shore bombardments or the gamble for the enemy to take the risk, and that it’ll be the only way the land defending the ships can attack with a defence of maybe 2/3. In D-Day it’s a brilliant concept to have being the Axis. Maybe something for the next future projectsThanks for an truly great game.
Oh, when is the Europe rules going to be avalible on line please…?

RE: British IC in HK
There is an airport and a habour on the phillipines.
There were mistakes in AAP40, but when setting up Global presumingly it’s how it is with nothing in Phillipines.
It is correct that China Can’t go into Korea isn’t it at all to fight or stay or enter?

RE: Accurate Miniature Equivalents for Custom Painting your 1940 E&P
Once you start, you can’t stop…!
I am happy you had thought about the magnets, when i was deciding the logic way, ideal to put a metal strip on each runway…might do that if i have the time…!
The Italians… as long you can make them not the same as the Russians, only small problem with the simular shaded brown ppl found, but it’s a getting used to… of course you’ll be painting the base of each unit the Italian colour…!

RE: Accurate Miniature Equivalents for Custom Painting your 1940 E&P
@The:
:-o Amazing
I have just one complaint though, There is no UKP (Union Jack) roundels on UK units
Yes…was thinking the same, thought the European Brits would have Union Jack, and rest of Commonwealth have the UK roundel simbol…maybe it was just pushing too far of a task…?

RE: Accurate Miniature Equivalents for Custom Painting your 1940 E&P
allworkandnoclay,
I have roughly read all posts, and of course seen all pictures you have posted, very well done, if you’re the only man in the world who does this and has the time for AA piece’s…maybe you can do the NEXT deluxe edition LH does in AA…or leave it upto the others who have also done the same hard work…!
However, not to knock the wind out of your sails, when playing the game, a task I have found annoying is placing the fighters on the aircraft carriers, maybe clumsy hands!
When I had done using the strip wheel magnet form from Canadian Tire, or a Staples store, when AA50 came out ( thinking this was the last ever board!! How wrong was I! ), I fixed used the magnets to sticky side to the bottom of the planes and on the AC strip on runway, so they would connect and not fall off.
I also for the transporters, fixed a magnet strip under the transporter long enough outwards to hold upto two units, so the tanks, infantry, aa gun ( days when it wasn’t a cardboard cut out piece! ), artillery could be on the transporter when transporting units.
Have you thought about adding this aspect when you were painting, a device that would work similar to what I did?Sala…waiting for the final Italians! ( hope Peru was fun and amazing )

RE: Bombardment quick question
Well, interesting, I think the rule with sticking with the original attacking power of 3 with cruisers and 4 with Battleships is good, AA50 changed where I think it was 4 for Battleships but 2 for destroyers, where attack was a 3 in non Bombardemant attacks for Destroyers.
If the land units could fire back I think it would be pointless in having a bombardment attack. -
RE: AA gun new territory…?
Why I was asking to my post, is because I had an AA gun transported from US West Coast with troops and 2 tanks to Soviet Far East only in that territory.
The Jap’s on there next turn commenced a battle with air units only on the US in SFE. The AA gun failed surprise hits on Jap’s planes and the Jap’s won the attack with poor dice rolling from myself with the US.
I planned to get Korea with the US troops, and the tank would of been ideal, BUT with the US AA gun remaining, going back to my question, can you claime a territory with an AA gun.As China units can’t enter Korea, it has to be the other allies to do so, US to me would be the best option.
It would be interesting if krieghund could see in this question ( AA GUN ), and to the answers about neutrals too.
Thanks for your thoughts.
