RE: Rules Q&A
From the rules : Any sea zone that contains only enemy sub. does not stop the movement of a sea unit. … . There is an exception … A submarine can attack any transport that moves into or through its sea zone unaccompanied by surface warship (note : submarines are NOT surface warship) … Each submarine fire once (att. 2) at the transports … any undestroyed transports can continue their planned movement.
Note : sea unit ending their combat movement in a zone containing only enemy sub may choose to attack or not.

RE: Tac Bombers
And remember, mech inf + tank + tac. bomber = great mobility and firepower on the ground. A great improvement on the classical Inf, art, tank.
-
RE: Dutch East Indies
From what I understand from the rules, Uk and ANZAC can take control of any Dutch territory’s without declaring war
-
RE: Rulebook Errata
@Joe:
Scrambling fighters. Can they scramble to sink a loaded transport moving in to attack their island, if that is the only ship coming?
Yes, and since transport don’t defend them self they are automatically sunk.

RE: Typo on the game box
Just noticed, the image of the battlestrip in the rulebook(p.7) is correct.
My new guess is this : all the poorly made stuff is because they rushed the game out to hit X-mas time and dinnt have the time to produce everything they wanted.

RE: Typo on the game box
On the other hand, the map is A+ Both on look and quality. Let’s try and see the good side of thing, if the screwed what people use the less (battleboard) and did great on the most used one (map) I say they still made a good job.
Please tell me there’s no typo on the map!!

RE: Rules Q&A
The only restriction on moving unit to allied territory is moving them in china, which is considered an act of war, so US can’t do it but UK and ANZAC can.

RE: Limited Edition?
And Aircraft carrier still attack on 1 on the battle strip…

Typo on the game box
From the game box : Extra large 35’’ x 32’’ gameboard for a greater play expierience
expierience???
Sry if this was already mentionned, just dinnt saw it elsewhere.
Also are every box like this?

RE: Played Our First Game Tonight
From a first view, id say that if you attack Hawai, you commit yourself to Hawai, it’s so close to the US that you will have to move Most of your fleet there to defend it thus preventing you from mounting a real attack on ANZAC or India. But could work.

RE: SIGN OFF HERE WHEN YOU GET YOUR COPY!
Got my from my local shop today, Québec, Canada
-
RE: New Unit Clarifications
Because mech infantry can only move 2 space if couple with a tank(I think).
-
RE: SIGN OFF HERE WHEN YOU GET YOUR COPY!
Because it’s a good game?

RE: AAP40 In Stores Now!
That mean that I will drop by my store later today, also in Canada, lets hope they want to sell it today. I reserved a copy a couple weeks ago so I need not worry about the quantity they received :)

RE: The Air Gap
My guess is : Spain will be at 3 moves from the US and the first german occupied zone at 4, this way, if the allies invade neutral spain they will have a 1 turn landing platform from the US.

RE: American split income?
Look at all the comment on pacific right now, if the US decide to only run the european war, Japan would steamroll over the pacific Without any resistance, so Germany would only have to stall until Japan can put a winning move, it would be a race to the finish but I’m pretty sure Axis would win.
Same thing if the US commit to only to the pacific, Japan just keep the american occupied while Germany take total control over Europe.
So american must back up it’s allies on both side for them not to be overrun.
Also I do believe the declaration of war will also be in effect in europe, so Germany will have time to built up and smash some face before the US become the usual war machine and the axis will have to play that card the best they can in the global war to get the most of the sleeping giant phase.

RE: First impressions
Anyone got the total starting IPC for Japan and combined allies?
I’m trying to figure out the starting situation of the game and cannot wait for my copy to arrive.
From what I’ve seen and heard so far, Japan can choose to do a fast or slow game by choosing when to start the US machine.

RE: First impressions
On the Hawai subject : With a naval base, the US are at a striking distance of japan from there, so keeping a fleet there also tell Japan : If your not careful, we are invading!
