Axis & Allies North Africa Question
Please see the attached picture open while you read my question/
Suppose when Germany takes it’s turn it takes 4 tanks and 3 mechs and goes into Egypt.
Let’s say all the lind mines put all the units in (time out). Where would they go? If they went back to Mersa Matruh it would exceed the stacking limit. So, what would happen.

RE: Why Should I Buy U.S.A. Infantry?
@Witt True, the US probably wont need infantry, but when I watch people play on youtube or tournaments they buy american infantry instead of french.

Why Should I Buy U.S.A. Infantry?
In Axis and Allies North Africa the Free French units are self sufficient. You can buy one of each every turn. Instead of buying a U.S.A Infantry shouldn’t you always buy the French one instead?
When I was watching tournaments on Youtube from Board Game NAtion the U.S. player did not but one French Infantry. Is there something I am missing?

RE: Strategies for Axis & Allies North Africa Germany Strategy
@SuperbattleshipYamato Supplies should be bought but when you get the Benghazi Convoy it is easy to get supplies to your troops.

RE: Strategies for Axis & Allies North Africa Germany Strategy
@SuperbattleshipYamato Yes I have, the reason I skipped to that part is because when you play it is super easy to get there.

RE: How Do AAA Guns Work? In Axis & Allies North Africa?
@CentralCommando @SuperbattleshipYamato Thank you for explaining. I feel they should cost 4 it is more realistic. But for 3 and a 2 or less not bad at all if the opponent has a ton of aircraft. They are also good for defending Malta.

How Do AAA Guns Work? In Axis & Allies North Africa?
How Do AAA Guns Work? In Axis & Allies North Africa? The part I’m really stuck on is what do they roll on to hit? Is it a one still? Are they useful? Why do they cost only three? (Except the German one).

Strategies for Axis & Allies North Africa Germany Strategy
So, I made a list of possible straiges using the help of A.I and watching many videos on youtube. A.I. only gave me 1/10 of my ideas but it is used.
Germany - (Rommel’s Last Push)
The United Kingdom will be in panic as Axis forces crush them from Tobruk and Benghazi etc. Usually it is pretty easy to make it to Mersa Matruh. But with the stacking limit it you cant completely shut down the U.K. from a counter attack.
So what do you do. Well, this may seem simple but works. It has been used in other AA games as well.
The one two punch. Use Italy then Germany to take Caro. Let me explain in depth.
In Mersa Matruh stack with 8 Italian guys. Have a huge stack of German tanks and mechs. Have italy have a bunch of planes. With Italy moving 8 guys and some air units you will be able to take out a good amount of units. When Germany comes they will attack with Tanks, Mechs and planes thus hopefully taking Caro.
Make sure to stack up till round 7. Do not wait any longer because the Americans and Free French will be on your tail in the west.Germany - (Operation Torch)
The Americans landing into the Vichy French colonies. The French turning in favor of the Allies. Traders. What to do.
Well the Brits will be steam rolling in the east. You won’t be able to stop them, EVACUATE! Retreat all the way to El Agheila. Then build up a defence. We will talk about this later.
For now let’s talk about Tunis first.
You will need not troops or armor but you will need supplies. You barely have any. So but fighters and supplies to aid the troops there. The fighters are just to escort. Don’t buy to many. After you have a lot of supplies for Tunis buy heavy duty armor to defend El Agheila.
The Italinies will have men and supplies but will not have teh tanks and other armor to properly defend. So buy some armor.
Now we will go backwards a bit, let’s talk about the overwhelming Brits in the west. Scary. You should buy land mines to slow them down. These are just some quick ideas I came up with. Let me know if you have anymore! I will make posts ideas for the other countries.

RE: First Time Playing Axis & Allies North Africa
@SuperbattleshipYamato I just recently got the game for my Birthday from my Parents. It is a great game, actually my favorite Axis & Allies game yet. It is very in depth.
Maybe I should ask A.I. or come up with my own strategy video. It will probably come out next year because I would have to play test my strategies.

First Time Playing Axis & Allies North Africa
I thought I should share my first time playing Axis & Allies North Africa and what I learned/happened.
The first time I played I used Rommel’s Last Push setup because I was playing with 3 people in total. The whole game I thought Caro was safe and sound so I built up a large navy and purchased random stuff. Then turn 5 Italy took a got punch at me then in turn 6 the Germans took over Caro. Big mistake as the Allies.
After that I set up Operation Torch. As the Americans I failed to to take Casablanca and there was still a Vichy French Infantry there. Then my entire convoy sunk because of the three German subs. One thing I did find out is that the French units make a huge difference, not so much the Infantry but the Tanks are so good. If you use them right, they will be a pain for the Axis.
Does anyone have any tips for this game yet? Or is it still to new of a game.

A good big fold out table for Axis and Allies Global
I’m currently looking for a fold out table big enough for Axis and Allies Global 1940. I’m struggling to find one. Could someone give me a link to a good fold out table that is big enough?
Thanks,

RE: Need strategic help
@AndrewAAGamer First off I never meant you had to buy fighters. I may have said that by mistake. Just get three fighters. This strategy would work for Europe. Also, he said he needed new strategy’s. So it does not hurt to try this one. It is very affective if you are just playing the europe board. And who are you to say it is bad advice have you tried it? Try it in triple a. Build a fleet then attack.
Why is not scrambling the fighter bad advice it is good. As I explained in my french video it could take out more units than just assist taking a sub. If it flew to Moscow for example it will probably take out three infantry or more.
I also question why you put my China advice in the questionable area. China needs to have a small offensive ability. If they can take back 2 Japanese territories the Japs have to retake it again. -
RE: Protest Against Larry Harris: French Indo China.
@SuperbattleshipYamato Bummer, if you can spread the word to your friends I see so many Axis and Allies players don’t recognize this. I wish they knew.

RE: Need strategic help
@AndrewAAGamer First off I have a lot of question about your remarks. Why did you say I take these ideas with a gain of salt. When I said the Allies are always reacting to the Axis that is a fact. Germany and Japan go neck to neck with Russia being the only one in the way. This means the Allied player has to react to them wisely.
If you build up a fleet in the Atlantic, you can easily sail it a round to the Pacific.
When you said you have never seen this strategy before even if my strategy is good or not does not depend on you saying if you have seen it or not. Also, The 9 Fighter scramble allows for you to build a fleet to hit Pairs. I highly doubt the British will struggle against the Italians.
You said buying boats is a waste, it is not a waste. As for the Anzac you need boats to shuttle troops to mainland. It depends if the U.S.A joins the Pacific if they do then you should buy boats to join there boats.

RE: France Strategy Video
@SuperbattleshipYamato Then I wish Normandy and Bordeaux were split there is enough room for them to split.
Normandy could have guy 1 artillery minor industrial complex, Bordeaux could have 1 mech and a naval base.

Protest Against Larry Harris: French Indo China.
You may be wondering what the title of my post means. It may have caught you off guard. Let me explain.
Larry’s setup for Global 1940 has no units in French Indo China. Yet there is no Vichy rule. You may be asking, Why does this matter. Well let me also say this. Larry said that he seriously doubts the existence of French units in French Indo China. Still not connecting the dots? Let me explain more.
According to the setup there is 1 Infantry in Algeria, Morocco, and Tunisia. In each territory there were about 50,000 troops in each French colony. So? You may be saying. Well in French Indo China there were also 50,000 troops, and there is no Vichy because Larry did not want to over complicate the game. It says this in the rulebook.
So in conclusion, there should at least be one guys in French Indo China.
Please help me protest this to Larry Harris so teh setup may be changed.
Is there a way to email him? Please let me know and helpout. One last thing when I say protest I do not mean it in a bad way I mean it in a way to let Larry know to put a guy there. Spread the word to your friends!

RE: France Strategy Video
@SuperbattleshipYamato I wish Normandy/Broardeux was not connected to Holland/Belgium.
