I take S. France as Germany and build subs. I use the subs from S France and the S Bombers from western Germany to smash any allied fleet that wants to park in SZ 91. This denies a strategic location for the allies unless they are prepared to build a sizable escort for their transports drawing funds away from the pacific. This also allows Italy to hold some NO’s early game without having to invest in a large fleet. The S bombers i am already purchasing for strategic raids on London and keeping the Atlantic clear anyway. building 5-6 subs is cheap considering the damage you could inflict on an allied fleet in SZ 91 not to mention the boost Italy will get.

RE: Submarines vs surface ships with no destroyer present
I thought that if a carrier gets damaged that the defending fighters (The ones already on the carrier before the battle) would just go into cargo and may not takeoff until the carrier was repaired?

RE: United States National Objectives and Bonus Income
So just to clarify the US would collect 62 IPC every turn assuming it maintained control of all the necessary territories. Reason I am asking is because I keep seeing something about a one time bonus of 30 IPC’s when japan declares war on the US and I am wondering if that is the same bonus 30 for holding the “Western United States. Theme: Major shift from peacetime to wartime economy.”

United States National Objectives and Bonus Income
How Much IPC income does the US collect EACH turn once it is at war with japan? 17ipc for territories + 45ipc for all National Objectives? total of 62 IPC’s?
