Thanks for the quick relpy.
As for quesiton 2.
Say a tank starts out in the open, then during assault phase (it’s side won iitiative and choose first) moves say 3 spaces behind an obstacle which blocks LOS. If I have a tank that could see the enemy tank when it started, but not when it finished it’s movement, can I shoot at it where it started? Or can I only shoot at it wherever it finishes?
Hope that makes more sense. Thanks.
Also have played my first three games and have a few quesitons.
1. Infantry in same hex as tank. Does tank get front or rear defense?
2. For line of sight, does only the hex the defending unit end its turn in count? Meaning can a unit move across an open field into a town, but only be shot at in the town?
3. If a unit is transported and transport dies, does it die as well?
4. Had a SIG 33 with bombardment attacking a sniper with enhanced camo in a forest. Which special ability gets to be used?
Thanks for the help.
I just bought a lot ofr 35 units and it comes with one map, the Baker1? map. I am looking to get a few more maps and see on ebay that there are north africa and eastern front ones available.
Any advice as to what to get? Should I also get a starter pack as well? Seems to be two different ones, a 10 piece stater set, and a 12 piece “2 player” set. Which one is better.
Thanks.
I have a retreat question. The axis has tanks that blitzed and are wedged between a northern and southern controlled allied hex. Now it seems that if they are forced to retreat they would be destroyed because the EZOC extends to thier escape route. But there are German troops in the hex and it is behind the front line.
So I guess my question is, does EZOC extend behind enemy front lines as well? Thanks for the help, hope my question made sense.
Seems if this is the case, then blitzing would be very risky/somewhat useless due to the fact that retreats become losses.
Ahhh… thanks for that clarification. looks like I will have to ship some supplies south!!
First game starting out.
Axis attacks all along the front, wins many battles. Then in movement phase, after they move they have overrun many of the allied supply points. Now that they are done moving the allies get to move, correct? Problem is, in the south the allies have supply points in deikirch, but the germans are currently occupying the city after thier movement. Front markers obviously have not been moved yet. So can the allied tank use a supply point in deikirch or not to move??
Another question:
It looks like the move phase goes like this : 1. Germans move 2. Allies move 3. Germans reinforce 4. Allies reinforce. Is this correct?
Thanks for the help.
Thanks Kriegs for the info and the help. I’ll check into it. He really liked D-Day.
Wow, well I did that totally wrong. Thanks for the help.
While I’m on here, any other of the smaller AA games (like battle of the bulge) that you guys recommend? Im playing this with my 8 year old, and I like that he can understand and play with me.
Thanks alot.
In looking at the reinforcement chart, some units are combined into a division. Do I place all units from the division in the beachhead?
For example the British 51st infantry division has three infantry and one art. attached. They are second unit I would place, correct? Do I just place the first infantry and continue down the list or do I place all the units in the division?
Looks like the british only have 13 reinforcement divisions. So if I roll a 12, is that 12 “units” or 12 “divisions” that I place?
When placing reinforcments, do I go down the first column, then back up to the top, or across the whole first row?
Thanks for the help.
