The Battleship/Aircraft Carrier hybrid, Ise. Though, I am a fan of most IJN designs.

RE: Favorite post WWII conflict
I’m at a loss guys, torn between the Korean Conflict and Chinese Civil War, both for scholarly reasons and personal ones, I researched into.
Though, the many regional conflicts within Asia and Africa after European decolonization also qualify.

RE: HBG's WW1 game
From what I can tell, a nice rendition, but I can’t tell much.
Like the others have said, hopefully we can get a bigger picture.
Edit: Some WW1 pieces down the line would be great!

RE: How much would the game change if…....
Still don’t see why people rag the cruiser. It makes an excellent addition to any navy and great pair up with destroyer.
I think what people complain about is cruisers don’t have “special abilities” and for their cost they aren’t efficient at all in combat.
The special ability is a cheaper version of offshore bombardment, lol. But, I can understand the “complaint”, but do not agree with it. I’ve seen the AA idea floating around, though I can see the obvious follies in it.

RE: Krieghund - Alpha final question
In Alpha final, can the Allies claim FIC for themselves in the same way they can take Dutch East Indies while NOT at war with Japan? Or since it is French owned, it stays French?
Stays french, acts french. Can only be controlled by an Allied power if they capture it from an Axis power, and only so long as Paris is in Axis hands.
I think Ho Chi Minh would have a problem with that… Haha, sorry, couldn’t resist that bad joke. :-D

RE: Historical Board Gaming - New Roundels
@coachofmany:
I would like to see Tech Tokens…
However, I would also like to see roundels for Japanese puppet states.
Siam, Burma, and Manchukuo?
Yes, and maybe just the hell of it, the “Reorganized National Government of China” which was led by Wang Jingwei. There were other puppet states, in Indochina, but map wise and game play, I think they would be unfeasible.

RE: Submersible Aircraft Carriers
You should try to get your hands on I-Boat Captain then. Gives details on the 1-400 class and kaitens.

RE: Axis strategy
He is right, since korea does not border manchuria, he does not have to worry about losing the mong bonus, untill he attacks manch that is.
I know that much, no matter how stupid I think the rule is.
I was referring to essentially him saying that attacking Korea doesn’t break the “pact” (hence a DOW).

RE: Axis strategy
R3- attack Korea (doesn’t break the pact).
Wait, lolwut, the Soviet Union attacking an integral part of the Japanese empire doesn’t break the pact. I think you may have that wrong, taking a broad brush stroke based on this line here;
If the Soviet Union attacks any Japanese-controlled territory bordering these Mongolian territories while Mongolia is still neutral, Mongolia will remain neutral and not ally itself with the Soviet Union
That just means that Mongolia stays neutral, not that Russia essential gets a free pass at Korea. At least, I hope I am right.
As an aside, I still think the Neutrality NO is too far in favor of Russia. There is no benefit to Japan if Russia breaks the truce, only negatives.
I am still in favor of Japanese puppet states, like Manchukuo or something. Maybe they can supply a set amount of “defensive infantry” if certain requirements are met.

RE: Dutch rules
With the neutral pieces that HBG has made/making, has anyone put small “colonial garrisons” on Dutch territories, if so, how did it turn out?

RE: Chinese Civil war
I personally like this idea, and love to see the inclusion of warlord armies in the interior and a special map dedicated to this scenario.
