Just wanted some details on some of the ‘usual’ strategies for dealing with the UK fleet when playing as Germany. Thanks
Also things that are known to definitely not work would be helpful as well.

RE: Submarine submergance
okay, well, I was under the impression that a sub retreats by submerging and doesn’t get to retreat one space like the rest of the navy. I guess this isn’t correct, but a sub can submerge and retreat one space?

Submarine submergance
Let’s say that during G1 I attack the UK battleship in SZ 13 with my sub from SZ8 and my battleship and transport from SZ14 with the idea of maybe taking the UK battleship but at least being able to retreat the battleship and transport to SZ 12 and submerging the sub. My question is what happens with my sub and the UK battleship left in SZ 13? The manual says that the sub remains submerged until the end of the noncombat move phase, but this doesn’t trigger combat. But then UK1 rolls around so what happens if UK wants to move their battleship or reinforce SZ 13 with the UK destroyer from SZ 15? thanks for the help.

Money question
Just a quick question of preference. Do you spend all your IPC’s during your turn or do you save some for a rainy day?

Unocupied territory newbie question
I am a little confused as to how one goes about capturing a hostile unoccupied territory. The rulebook seems to say that only a blitzing tank can do this. For example, I was playing a game the other night where in G1 Germany captured Karelia and moved all surviving land units from Norway into Karelia leaving Norway unoccupied. Then on UK1 a veteran player said that the UK cannot use a transport to move land units into Norway and occupy it. Is this true? Basically I just need to know the basics of capturing unoccupied hostile territories other than with blitzing tanks. The rulebook did not seem clear to me on this subject. Thanks.
