If I have a lone submarine submarine that attacks a lone battleship and I get a 1 and hit, does the first strike apply? As in, does the battleship die in one hit, or is it just like a normal hit and it takes one more to destroy it?

I just was about to play A&A Europe but I lost the Russian reference chart and the rule book, which I think has a picture of the reference chart in it. Does anyone have access to this? I searched it, but I couldn’t find anything.
