      @Gargantua:

      Well the Geneva convention better not apply if we end up at war with China…

      They could just simply “surrender” and we wouldn’t have enough housing to keep them, the ability to feed them, or the ability to guard them.

      At all.

      And the only hope the western powers would actually have of winning, would involve biological warfare.

      I’d rather we lost then it came to that.

      @Bolt-Action:

      I’m 15 and the only reason I haven’t bought any of the games yet is beucase the ones people say are good (Global, Revised, AA50), are sio riducously expensive now.

      If you can only afford $20-30 you could get Spring 1942.  I recommended it to a 14 year old student of mine and he bought it.  It’s as good a buy as any of the other games, considering it’s a lot cheaper.  If you can’t afford more than $30 it’s really your only good option

      I can afford it, but I’m not sure I want to spend 200$ or so on a board game.

      @Cromwell_Dude:

         I’m not really optimistic that the younger generation will play 1941 when they enjoy the touch apps on a SmartPhone, let alone the dumbing down of our culture.   With that said, I am very interested to see if this younger generation bites and enjoys the game.  I hope so.   It would be interesting to see the age demographics of people playing Axis and Allies online.  Â

      I’ve never played Axis and allies (just miniatures) and never played it online, so if someone has some patience I’m willing to give it a go. :P

      How is it not a fair comparison? We aren’t  talking about a year or two ago, we are talking about why its more popular now. I don’t really see your point……
