My good friend Ryley attacked my Japanese fleet, here it is before 1 hit with kamikaze:
Here are the remaining Japanese after the battle:
That’s right, 0 Jap casualties, complete US fleet annhilation.

I do all artillery G1 & G2, then follow it up with mech until I am ready to hit moscow. Works every time, even if he withdraws the troops from Siberia.

Japan’s first purchase should always be a factory in Manchuria. The 3 tanks you drop there every round become quite a nuisance for China and Russia. In addition, if America liberates the factory for China, then China can’t build out of there because China can’t use factories! An industrial complex is only 1 IPC more than 2 transports, and it can’t be killed.
In all my games, an exclusive tank producing factory in Manchuria turns Japan into a monster on Russia’s doorstep by turn 5.
So, before I get scolded on American planes not being able to reach china I would just like to say that I now realize this.
However, there is still a British fighter in Egypt that can make it to China on short notice and I think that would be the key to slowing down Japan.
I think most people can agree that if Japan doesn’t aggressively steamroll China then China becomes nearly impossible for Japan to take with its copious chinese infantry; China is also the shortest path to Russia.
Even though it would be costly in the Pacific, America could send planes to aid China’s defense. Extra planes parked alongside infantry would really slow things down in China.
Britain could do the same.

In my experience, KGF is not surefire in 1941 setup.
If you have a meticulous player for Japan and a player with a good strategy for Germany, The Allies focusing entirely on Germany Leaves Japan free to roll over Asia.
Fast forward to 1944/45 And the Allies circling in on Germany. Yes, Germany will likely fall, but if Japan has meticulously managed her troops up to this point, Russia will have fallen or be about to fall to hoards of Japanese tanks.
My experience is that in any 1941 game with strong players, something has to be done to slow down Japan before she becomes a juggernaught, and this take away from the KGF.
Of course, this is my opinion only and my group of players is 6 strong leading to a heavy bias due to the low sample number.
Hello everyone, I am a fairly experienced Axis and Allies player, and I just joined this forum.
I am toying with the idea of building a British factory in Australia and fortifying in order to harass and slow down the Japanese. I imagine that Japan will take Australia if it wants to, but this would seriously slow down her expansion elsewhere and a factory in Australia would only be a minor tactical advantage for Japan.
