I played the other weekend and I was the Axis and I built 2 subs every round with Japan and germany went crazy and I won 2 games using this plan. My question is how do you stop Germany in this game? We are playing again this weekend and I will be the Allies. At this time my plan is to go 50% in the Atlantic and 50% in the pacific with USA.

My friend and I played 2 games last night and I was the Axis both time’s and won in the 4th round both times. My thoughts after playing for the first time is that the Axis have an advantage, my firend went full Pacific with USA both times and he kept Japan in check, but Germany went wild. I built a carrier both games and UK could not build a fleet and I took them over twice. I think the right mix would be 50% usa in the Atlantic and Pacific. I would like to hear what Hobbes did with his plan as the Allies as the next time we play, I will be the Allies. The Allies must have some kind of threat in the Atlantic to win this game. Just my thoughts.

It sounds like buying a carrier for Germany is not a good idea. I read some post on here that some players were buying the carrier for the Baltic sea.  The carrier would take away the hard push towards Moscow.

Playing my first game tonight and I will be the Axis. My plan is to drive very hard after Russia with Germany. Do you think it is wise to by a carrier for Germany?

What was the common factor why the Allies won in your games?

I was talking about a carrier for the Baltic. Nothing else.

What did the Allies do in those games?  Did Germany buy any ships?

What are the common buys for Japan in the first round? I was thinking about 1 Transport, 1 sub and the rest inf. My friend wants to merge the 2 American fleets right next to Japan after his turn. I believe that I can destory this with ease.

How many games have you played so far? My first game will be this Friday. I have played Axis & Allies for many years now. I thought about buying 2 subs with Germany on the first round to avoid any build up from UK. What do you think of that?

That is he plan down to a T. He is flying one fighter to egypt and sending everything else at west russia.
