I know there was some discussion in the Alpha 3 post about Russia being able to exploit the new NO of taking European territories German or Neutral.  My question if Russia builds a Tranny turn one, are they allowed to land troops in Greece if their not at war with Germany in Alpha 3?

I joined a group on meetup.com, its’ the group is huge now.  You could start one up there and find other people who like to play.

Having Italy adds to game’s enjoyment factor for 5 man game, but sucks if you playing 6 guys and you have to play Italy.  We have tried once with 11 player, and one guy playing Italy on both boards, which was fun.  But buy your self it kind of sucks, IMO.

I have a game coming up, 1942 as UK. Talked a little with the guy playing US and he is planning a full Pacific invasion with little in Europe.  What is the best way to hold Africa with out building an IC there? My plan of attack is the northern route thru Norway to Moscow to stop the German’s.  Building a Carrier and Cruiser Turn 1, then another Carrier turn 2 and maybe a couple planes to keep the UK fleet alive then start the shuck of northern Europe.

How do I hold Africa with the forces I have left, assuming the German/Italian players doesn’t attack turn one, and my India fleet is sunk turn 1.

In 5 person games we have always had Germany control the Italian player, but many of my fellow players now feel this give the Axis and Advantage.  Axis has won 60-70% of the games played in our group, and some see it as unfair since the German player and Italian player don’t have to plan together, but the entire Allied players have to plan together.

what do you think would be a good way to fix this problem? Have Japan also control the Italians?

I don’t see why the Brazil is not used more by the US player.  In our games US almost always moves to Brazil Turn 1 and uses it for a staging area for the rest of the war.  It’s two spaces from Northern Africa, Southern Africa and France.  There would be no way the Germans could take Brazil, and hold it let alone us it for an invasion of the US if this strategy is used.

We switch between the 12 point bid, and the axis again 4 NA’s and the Axis seem to win 50-60% of our games, and the last few months no one can beat them. Axis has one 13 of 17 games since this past september.  We have 20 man group that plays about twice a month.

I think I will stay with the orginal plan.  Thnx for the info.
