I have tried TripleA but I still like my 1998 AA version. Since building my new rig I’ve lost the files and patches. This game just brings me back to my middle school and high school years. Anyone happen to still have the files?
1998 board game PC version

Hi, I was wondering if there is anywhere I can find the 1998 board game version for my computer… I’ve looked all over and can’t seem to find anything that works.

Try EBAY. I just searched for axis allies hasbro and a bunch came up for under $5.

The original Hasbro A&A cd does indeed go for about $5. But that’s because most people are looking for the “Iron Blitz” version of the cd. The Iron Blitz version is an enhancement to the original.
Several years ago the IB version was fetching crazy dollars. You would rarely see one going for less than $100. The reason they saw such crazy prices was because for a long time they were the only thing going. There were “ripped” versions of the Iron Blitz cd around, but you could tell it was definitely a ripped version. It ran quirky but… it ran. I’ve never seen a disk image of the IB cd-rom.
Now, there are alternatives to the orig. cd:
Triplea project A free, open source alternative playable on any system that has java. Supports real time online play, multiple game and map scenarios including creating your own.

Gleemax online The official Wizards of the Coast site where you can play the game online. This just recently came out in beta phase. You have to sign up at the site but so far it’s been free.

Will the Iron Blitz work on Windows Vista? I know that the Hasbro version doesn’t.
