Abattlemap help files

So, I want to play a Global 1940 Alpha+3.9 game by forum. Where do I find the ABattlemap to download? I have to download the base program first, then the Global 1940 “module,” then hope my comp doesn’t screw up, then play, correct?

Do a search on this site, there are a few threads describing where and how to install.  Google it if you have to.  When I installed it last time it came with all the maps, no need to install other packages.  When it first runs it defaults to the original second edition map, select new map should present you with dozens of maps/games.

I wonder if we should ask to Attila to solve the problem with the maximun powers to do convoy raid (I mean, AABattlemap engine issue) …

Stoney, yes. Whatever players are using to play A&A Europe 1940 and A&A Global online. That is the battlemap I’m looking for. For whatever reason, I’d followed the instructions and can’t get it to load. Can you walk me through the step by step process to get it installed? Thanks VERY much in advance!

I didn’t see this anywhere else except something similar with iron blitz (which I don’t have) so I hope it’s okay to start a new topic.

I was wondering if you guys here know of any mods or patches or workarounds so all the countries could either fight each other from the beginning or make it so the winning alliance turns on each other after the opposing alliance loses.  If there isn’t one, I’d be happy to create one myself if anyone knows what would be involved and would be kind enough to get me started in the right direction.

Any help is appreciated.  Thanks.

Ok, that helped with figuring out how to use the game but I’m still having the problem of infoview and toolbar not appearing unless I reinstall.  I followed the instructions of deleting the .ini file and keeping the windows to the middle of the program but neither work.  While this is a pain for my PC, for some reason I don’t have this problem when I run the program on my laptop.

I prefer a 2 monitor setup anyway so you dont have to keep collapsing the map  so you may want to post from the desktop and leave the map on the laptop. The info and toolbars usually vanish when they are placed at map edges so leave them in the south atlantic and indian oceans. Just remember to look under them occasionally to make sure a new fleet or IC hasnt spawned

For anyone who is interested the bigpiece.bpm file is contained in both the aa50 41 and 42 modules. to get it to work for aae aap you just need to open the the 41 or 42 module then copy and paste the  big piece file to the module you want to run it .

Unfortunately the colors and fonts are for the aa50 units in the order in which they move based on either the 41 or 42 scenario so the map is misrepresented
