Box game question

You can play online go to www.axisandalliesworldclub.com you can play with no CD patch our new patch out in 4.1. This patch fixes bugs and creates a better AutoSave and some more. The name of out club is aawc and we have 2v2 play with leagues and 1v1 play with leagues and tournaments. The name of our 2v2 is Squadron(Squad) and Mercenary(Merc). Anyone and everyone signed up to aawc can play in Merc. In Squad you must be on a team to play. You can join a team or create 1 but you have to have people to create one with or you must have a captain agree to let you join. The name of our server is WarZone, which has 5 different servers on it with A&A, Outlaws, Panzer General 2, Risk2, and total Annihilation.    Hope to see you on the zone.

I’d still check out the Atari “Axis & Allies,” unless you have NO interest in RTS (as stated, like Command & Conquer).  It trades strategy for faced pace action, and can be fun with friends on a LAN.  I got a chance to play for a while, and it can be entertaining, for a short time…
Others to try would be Sudden Strike, another RTS but not as goofy, and my all time favorite RTS involving WW2 material: Close Combat.  A damn good game…
I downloaded a copy of Iron Blitz from a website I can’t remember - I’ll try and track it down.  It was a relatively small download, runs fairly well (gets slower and slower as you go on, even when turning down some of the settings), and is FREE!!!

right click on the AA icon. go to compatibility mode. switch to 95, 98, etc. whichever works best.

I just started playing Iron blitz and it seems 98 worked on my 500 XP machine.

Why would you need to roll against the heavy bomber specifically? That’s not fair, because the attacker gets to choose his casualties from all the hits, whether it be during a battle or picking planes to die from AA fire. The attacker should get to “guard” his Heavy by escorting it with other planes.

No doubt for the total experience, group games are an absolute blast. But when the chips are down, and you’re playing seriously, whom can you really trust? The person playing beside you that just chugged down his 5th beer? And with the Allies you are forced to play with total coordination of the part of each nation. What if you can’t get that UK to cooperate with USA to purchasing that much needed aircraft carrier instead concentrating on bombers? Unless I have someone who’s on the wavelength and knows exactly what I’m thinking, I’ll stick to myself.
