100 point armies 4 USSR

Wondering if anyone has created point equivalencies (versus specific units) for the scenarios with the Expanded Rules? Playing them at equal points per side does not seem to work…thanks!

Yeah, all the 100 point games I have played are always done faster than a monoploy game just for that it’s worth adding it to the A&A team.

If it’s “anything goes” then there’s far too many options. If you want to make balanced armies than try to have it so each army has an answer to the other; ie if one side has an aircraft, the other has AA (either an AA Gun or aircraft). Don’t have a King Tiger on one side and no AT on the other, etc etc.

Wow! Tiger heaven and great strat resulted in my first loss–quite badly at that.

What has been allies experience in the past in dealing with this map? Because we had only 20 units at 300 points I had to field several (5) armor and normally would have tried to lay back at the objective, but had not place to hide more than 2, maybe three units and theyd be divided heavily. With 3 crocs I had to charge and it was not pretty.

In expectation of an open map with heavy armor a must, then I’d guess going M26/M36’s for flanking would be wise. Any thoughts?

I’m assuming and hoping  that the Fallschirmjager will be an early war paratrooper. But perhaps, it’ll get Had Charger or Steely Resolve to reflect that they were also elite infantry. I don’t think that they will be late war elite infantry because the Germans already have several elite infantry units.

Also, I agree about the Kubelwagen. Maybe it’ll be in a future set. It would certainly be nice to have.

And lastly, the reason I made that last post was to encourage everyone to vote for the Fallschirmjager. So vote already. I really would like to see the Fallschirmjager’s stat card.

It could be an advantage to either side.

Just think of how long and hard it would be to kill all them (assuming you even could). The Allies can do the same thing with Partisans and Paratroopers, or Commissars, support weapons, and chinese infantry. This is why my play group always uses historical formations; so you don’t get lopsided battles.

Yes the Tiger will be unleashed.  Your right though too much risk and I feel it would demoralize my opponent too much.  I have a pak 40 and sfz 250 I’ll use.

I’ve been reading a lot on Mortars any thoughts?  I have a disc. Spotter and a 81 mm what about mg42’s I have a couple of those too.  It just seems a steep price to pay (20pts) for a mortar and support.

Again I was skunked on sspg at my local shop.  Are SS stormtroopers as good?

The target does not have to be directly in front of the SU-85. It needs to be in front of the SU-85 as defined in the rules. See the page where the rules explain what it means to be behind or on the flank of.

All it really means is that you need to pay attention to facing when you end your movement.
