Mean Tank strategy to tie Allies in Knots!
-
I came across this strategy while reading about Rommel.
It is fairly simple, and if treated as a general principle has left me with a number of stunning victories.
1. Treat all tanks as priceless nonconsumables.
2. Cover all tanks with 88’s
3. In the eastern sector, where your tanks are most plentiful, use them to cover a slow retreat into the lower right corner of the board. (This is turn 1-5)
4. Then side-slip your opponent along the bottom of the board, and wind up with a super strong right flank! :-o
5. Result: fortress Europe stays intact with the Allies destroyed almost to the man! -
I mention that in the Axis Strategy, a quasi fake attack back on Caen. My bro has used it successfully against me, and usually my British Forces are cut to shreds and aren’t able to break it by T9. Definitely a good strat that I would suggest anyone to try out.

This is kind of a change of subject, but Erwin Rommel is my hero.
But yes, I might just have to try that one next time I play. (Hopefully soon.)
