These rules are part of the Axis & Allies 1940 Global 2E, House Rules Expansion.
These elite combat units bring a new dimension to the game, especially to the fighting on The Eastern Front.
Can it be done without creating new units? Any ideas as to how it would not ruin the game? Perhaps using tanks to transport and equal number of infantry units, however if they are being sent into battle, then both the armor and men roll 2 or less?
some see it as t be developed but I think it should just cost 1 ipc per 2Inf transported… maybe…
Would be very difficult to implement in the game without adding new units.
table tactics has troop carriers in its expansions central powers, very nice expansion worth buying! its at tabletactics.com
Here’s an Idea:
Mechanized Infantry:
Cost: 4 IPC’s
Attack: 1
Defense: 2
Movement: 2
Can blitz if accompanied by 1 tank per Mechanized Infantry.
Iron Blitz Expansion Rules:
They can tow one Artillery 2 territories and can attack like normal, but they cannot blitz in the same movement.
the americans should automatically start with mech inf. at 3 IPC’s per(if they orig. cost 4) the us basically was 100 % mechanized…
