People say that carriers are obsolete because:

Hypersonic missiles are getting increasingly more powerful, to the point where it isn’t possible or economical to defend a carrier. Not only that, hypersonic missiles might have a longer range than carrier aircraft in the future (based on my own research, the F-35 still has a longer combat radius than most current missiles, though that’s because the Zicron doesn’t exist).

Submarines are getting quieter, to the point where they can easily destroy carriers.

Carriers are too big of a target. Some people use this argument and extend it to all surface ships.

If you’re curious, I personally disagree that these developments are too big of a problem, making them obsolete. Just my opinion.

People say tanks are obsolete because:

Tanks are easier to be targeted by anti-tank missiles, which have longer range than tanks.

Tanks are too expensive.

Aircraft have gotten more powerful to the point where they can replace the role of tanks.

Keep in mind my summary might be wrong, this is just what it seems reading some articles saying they’re obsolete.

Wait…you need water for beer.

Beer is mostly water.  :-)

But based on the survival tips Rule of 3. You get thirty seconds if you’re bleeding, making blood number one. 3 minutes without air making it number two. 3 hours without shelter in a harsh environment no one thing counts as shelter and this is highly dependent on the environment. 3 days without water and depending on the environment that could shorten considerably making water the third most important substance.

I thought that “Quantum of Solace” was remarkably prescient in having the villains trying to control the water supply.

When the main character first ran outside in his avatar and saw the other avatars playing basketball in street clothes. From that moment I could not get the image of the “all-star monstars” from Space Jam out of my mind.  :x

Those were the rulings I was referring to when I said I still had reservations. If he lacks a clear stance on abortion, it leads me to think he’ll lack a clear stance on other important issues, which is something I’d rather avoid. And, if his stance is that the Constitution somehow includes an article assuring that abortions are to be free and federally protected… I’m sure you can all guess my reaction to that ;).

Here’s a question…If below par is good why do most people mean bad or poorly when they say, “I’m feeling under/below par?”

Par simply means what the standard. If Par for the course is 72 then 72 strokes is the standard # of strokes needed to finnish the course. If you shoot under par you are doing well.

On the contrary if you are feeling under par, you are feeling worse than standard or normal, thus bad. :)
