      This rule is part of the Axis & Allies Global 1940 2E, House Rules Expansion.

      As the War progressed it became apparent to all Major Powers, that Weapons Production needed a significant increase.

      The Total War rule reflects the efficiency in production as War materiel were mass produced.

      @the-captain yea the wolfpacks are pretty effective in my limited experience with them. If you decide to send the Bismark to Scapa Flow after the Hood and if given the option, retreat and the Hood goes to Iceland, a wolfpack has a good chance to sink it without loss.

      You’ll still be a wolfpack for defense if the Americans are activated and try and come after you as well.

      Definitely changes it up. I like em. Adding some more convoy zones would be something you guys might consider as well. just a thought : )

      This rule is part of the Axis & Allies Global 1940 2E, House Rules Expansion.

      The increased IPC values in the Pacific Theatre (which reflects both strategic importance as well as oil resources - see Topic that describes the Expanded Pacific Theatre) makes this Battlefield crucial for both sides - in order to turn the tide of War to their own favor.

      The Increased Ship Building rule helps both sides to perform major offensives and create multiple Naval Task Forces.

      During the early stages of the German Strategic Operation Barbarossa vast amounts of Red Army soldiers were captured or annihilated.

      The Red Army Conscription rule reflects the seemingly inexhaustible pool of soldiers - that eventually halted the Germans on the doorstep to Moscow.

      This rule allows players to move a specific number of land combat units in order to reinforce front line units, build up forces for future offensives or simply as decoy to confuse the enemy, etc.

      Paratroopers and Soviet Partisans can both become handy in order to disrupt enemy Strategic Rail Movement.

      The fighting in The Pacific Theatre now has a new dimension. “Island Jumping” is a crucial part of the Total Economy for both sides.

      For The Allies to be able - to some degree - to replace the severe losses of ships and transports during the early stages of the War, Landing Crafts are a plausible solution.

      Though limited in numbers they still pose a serious threat for example to Axis-occupied Europe.

      Landing Crafts are cheap, high value transportation means.

      So, if I understand correctly - UK & US do not send war materiel to USSR - instead the USSR rolls dice to determine what “Lend-Lease” units they get - and place these units directly at one of the territories that are mentioned…?

      You got me thinking on how now to force attacker to take a bomber instead of a fig in SBR dogfights. Thinking if interceptor rolls a 1 it forces attacker to take a bomber casualty. This way don’t have to raise defense on a interceptor. Just thinking here.

      When British Commandos are supported by artillery in an attack, they attack at “3” - and the artillery at “2” as usual.

      After the attack, any surviving Commandos operate under regular infantry rules - but they are still Commandos.

      So, during any future attack they (again) attack at “3” - when supported by artillery. Otherwise they attack at “1” as regular infantry - even though they are Commandos.

      In other words; the artillery unit is the key.

      The same rule applies to US Marines.

      Please note: German Waffen-SS infantry units have similar qualities when supported by Waffen-SS Artillery.
