Come and fight! The National Championship for Guadalcanal will be held at the Strategicon gaming convention on Saturday, May 25th in Los Angeles. All skill levels welcome. This tournament is sponsored by Historical Board Gaming and axisandallies.org. It will be well attended with seasoned players of the game so come get good with friendly opponents who not only play but teach best practices. You will leave a better player and learn to crush your friends. Here is the link: https://www.strategicon.net

First and second place winners will get a set of certified Guadalcanal battle dice (replaces the battle box).

A D-Day tournament will also be held on Sunday, the 26th.

HI for those who wrote I just want you to know we are running another convention on April 29th. The same place and times. I will be reposting it as a new event when I get some time. Please contact with if you have any questions. The Private message worked great last time and I will see if I can figure it out. After this it will be awhile longer as the Church has no AC so the summer is out for us. Hope to See you April 29th

If you follow the links, you will see the details for the rules. Kremlin gives you all kinds of options to start the game. Things like early landings in WAfrica, having Turkey, Switzerland or other neutrals starting the game as your ally, adding a battleship to the South Atlantic for Germany and many, many more. It can completely change the playout of the game and because the restricted Tech rules, Technology will likely not play as bid a role as it can in regular 2nd Edition games. Give it a try and you’ll see that it makes the game a very different one.
