While my group does not put all of Italy’s fleet in one zone .  We do move the transport off egypt to south africa. The destroyer from egypt goes off the coast of gibraltar with the cruiser.  Also attacking carriers can only be taken as casualties after all other pieces with an attack value have been detroyed.

This seems to even things up a bit.  In addition a german inf. and art. in Libya.

I picked Germany , I like the ability to have a sound strategy to start that can’t be impacted what others do .  USA for a relaxing no stress game.  UK for a challange . I have a love hate relationship with Japan. OOB or Alpha +2 without our house rules , I would rather shoot myself in the face.

I take advantage of mistakes . But I always forgive minor missed things. LIke moving a space or such . Me and my friends ask “if anything can atttack these pieces” questions . Bottom line is I want to win because of good strategy and solid play not because of a stupid mistake.  Would i warn someone they under defended their capitol , depends how expierieced they are . We usually warn no one unless they ask for help reading the bored then questions are answered as honestly as we see. In one on one it’s a lot to look at .

That is exactly why I attack the Canadian tran/dest asw ell/ Summed up nice Jimmyhat.

The only problem I see is that in all my games the german player sends 1-3 subs after the Quebec destroyer, it never lives. As canada is easy to convoy.

J1 attack on Hawaii should easily fail to take the island. I would not scramble my planes to save that crappy navy . You only have one TT that can reach in Alpha +2 . So at best your inf and tank are up against 2inf and 2 fighters.

I didn’t vote because my option wasn’t there . UK to weak .  My only concern with the UK is they have too much in France . They should have the inf . in france and the plane in Normandy both in London . That would end most sea lion problems.

Itlay should have it’s fleets combined or all aircraft in Southern Italy or both.

Germany should have a minor presence in north Africa and or the med.  trans or sub or inf and art in Libya.

US need less ships to start . Get rid of Trans in Hawaii and both ships in Phillipines. Give UK India another trans .

Let Japan attack DEI and Solomons chain without American DOW .

So in summation UK(Europe)  , Italy , Japan weak

37 Ipcs  2mech , 2 tanks , 2 arty, 3 inf.  If Germany does not attack you G3 then buy ships and planes or whatever . Germany just lost the war.

Never let Germany sealion on the cheap G2 . If they build 2TT and a carrier G1 protect London.  If they don’t I always build an IC in egypt UK1 .  I have never seen Germany win in global not attackig Russia G3 .

We use a rule that attacking carriers are treated like transports in that they can only be chosen as casualties when no other piece are left. They still have to be chosen before TT . Also if subs are defending and only planes are left then the carrier has to take any hits .

But it seems rushing carriers into battles to take hits is a bit silly . On the defense make sense they were prime targets and they could fight back . But just using  a capital ship as fodder with no attack value make no sense to me .  Please respond.

In my last Alpha +2 game it both screwed me as germany against an american fleet and aided the Italians round 1 vs. UK.
