Hi, I am new to the forum and have a question with regard to SBR in A&A global. Why send escorts? I read in the rules that all airplanes (fighters, tac bombers and strat bombers) attack (escorts) and defend (interceptors) on a 1. After this one round of combat the built in AAA in the base or IC can have a shot at each bomber and hits on a 1. Surviving bombers do their damage (tactical bomber D6 or strategic bomber D6+2). Why not send just SB as they have the same attack value as fighter escorts in the aircombat round? They cost only 2 ipc more. Or do the strategic bombers do not attack in the aircombat (attack=0)? Hoe does this work? Thx![link text](link url)

RE: Strategic bombing and escorts. How does a raid work?
@mainah Thx. But then these fighters cannot be deployed to another battle. The price difference seems small to me (10 vs 12 ipc). It seems more useful to use multiple bombers (as long as the possible interceptors are the same amount or less then the number of bombers). At what point should you refrain from strategic bombing with regard to number of interceptors? Interceptors are only fighters or also tactical bombers?
