I think I should study your allied moves a bit, although no one else really does a J1. Against no other player do I have to sacrifice a transport for the money islands but I think I needed to here.
You’re a great player even as the allies Adam. One thing I think you could have done better is your bid. Why a sub in 98 with no Taranto? 2 subs would have been better spent in 106 and 111 IMO, although I still prefer the ftr Malta+sub 98 for a CV-less Taranto. Main downside is you sacrifice the Scottish fighter to do that.

Taranto is always an option with the sub, but also it’s useful against the Italian DD/tp. 5% chance of a disaster without the sub is too higher.

And that also is the reason for the sub in 91, to deter an attack there which is always an option as Germany. Both of those subs can attack 96 of course.
