    @VictoryFirst

Wow You got Diced Hard in belarus. I got diced a bit first rd against novgorod too :)

So i removed Ftr form W Ger for Me 262. Also Killed a Uboat in 104 as dicebot got a hit in your earlier post.

I just went with Max Defense in Novogorod for ya. Kept a Waffen Mech at D4 instead of a Elite and killed a Tac D3 instead of a Waffen mech also.

Figure you wanted that Panzer Army intact no matter what :)

Anyway, don’t think it mattered, since they all died. I guess 2 twos instead of 1 4 woulda been the only diff :)

If you woulda done it different, we can reoll :)

@VictoryFirst oops Forgot to edit TG in Novogorod to Inactive. Was hoping he woulda stayed intact for one good punch on counterattack lol

  • 2023 '22 '21 '20 '19 '18

@VictoryFirst What Border are the 3 Orange LMs in W Ger defending ?

  • 2023 '22 '21 '20 '19 '18

Hmm … I was thinking of making a table for game notes for boxes, showing the borders an color areas. Most used ones anyway.

What about placing a colored Changer mine in the TTy that the mines are defending ?

You’d have your correct number of colored mines in your TTy. Put the corresponding colored Changer Mine in the TTy/Border it’s defending.

Then you know that color is defended by that amount of colored Mines in bordering TTy.

Drawback. It’d take a placement. Have to edit into TTy Changer Mine places.

Idk. It feels like I’m missing something. Think it should work tho.

I’d also have to create a SZ LM for Changer.

Idk. The extra place spot bothers me most but you stick a colored mine in that TTy from Changer and you have multiple colored LMs in a bordering TTy, you’d know how many were defending it then.

    Screenshot from 2023-07-08 23-43-20.png

Obviously we’d want a smaller token than the one used in the Boxes, but the above would signify the Orange LMs are defending against France. Blue Denmark.

    Wdyt ? Am I missing something ?

  • 2023 '22 '21 '20 '19 '18

@VictoryFirst I mean if Italy had same color, you’d know they were defending as well, unless it was in a different TTy.

That’s why you’d want to try and follow the same color pattern.

Those instances would’ be rare anyway and can always document when in doubt.

  • @barnee

I think the idea is interesting, but I also think it doesn’t pay off the extra work needed for all those extra places. We already have the comment log, which I think will work fine too.

It will work in practice, but it might add a lot of clutter, plus we need to create new places/tokens. There also might arise some instances in Russia where it is unclear which mine is defending which border, as lots of mines will overlap. But on the other side, we have a lot of different colors, so we might be able to distinguish all of them.

But what if let’s say Belarus has three mines adjacent to it, then we need three extra spots to place those smaller tokens in it. If Belarus has a lot of Germans in it, then it might become pretty busy over there lol.

Anyway, I don’t know either. You may decide. I think it will work, but it will also come with a lot of work with it, while we also have the comment log that can do the job.

  • And for our game, I think I will have to raise the white flag again… :) That capture of Novgorod was brutal for the Germans. They lost a lot of men over there. I don’t think they can come back from that. Japan is looking strong though, but not strong enough to ensure the victory imo. It is a matter of time or the Allies will wreak havoc on Germany/Italy.

Do you agree with this, or do you think the Axis still have a chance?

If you do accept the surrender, I would love to play another with you, with the new army boxes and tokens. Was looking forward to that actually lol. Plus, I would like to follow the moves in our game on my own board. I have never done something like that before.

Anyway, this game was an awesome experience :) The Captain’s game really kicks ass :muscle:

  • @VictoryFirst

    Lol here is it officially:
    :waving_white_flag:

  • @VictoryFirst heh heh i think I’ll add the white flag to the game lol

Yea, things looking a little tough at the moment. Idk if you can come back or not. Rebuild the Panzer Armies and attrirt R as best you can. Jpn may be able to help with that, but they kinda have there hands full a bit.

After rd 7 i played it out to rd 15 and Axis actually had gotten the upper hand. Losing Army Group North a Big blow though. Belarus is so critical. G or R can both concentrate if they control it and destroy separate enemy concentrations.

Jpn was very strong. New Guinea was a bloodbath. You did well to come back from the early yunnan defeat and loss of Army Group South.

Anyway, I’m looking forward to trying the new map as well. I’ll finish a couple things, update, then set us up.

I guess your turn to be Allies ?

    @VictoryFirst Here’s latest https://www.axisandallies.org/forums/topic/39844/global-40-expansion-boxes/178

I’ll fire up a thread for game 3 after my nap lol

Didn’t dick with D-Day or Italy Takeover. Did clarify Notes on Commanders. Still have more work to do on them but my uneducated self always struggles with the Notes lol

Yea, if we didn’t have Boxes ready to go, I’d say give it another rd or two. Odds against ya, but not impossible I don’t think.

I wanna play Boxes too though lol
